Dr. David Mitchell Ogrodnick, DDS

David Ogrodnick, DDS, FAGD Dr. Ogrodnick, founder of Acton Dental Associates, earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Duke University, was awarded his dental degree from Meharry Medical College, and completed a general practice residency with the Veteran's  Administration. He has served with the United States Public Health Service and conducted cellular and radiological research at Vanderbilt University under a grant from the National Institute of Dental Research. He has also completed postdoctoral continuing education studies at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, the United States Dental Institute, the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Tufts Dental School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ogrodnick is dedicated to providing his patients with the best of health, esthetics, comfort and function. His special areas of interest are in the fields of dental implants, adult cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and TMJ pain dysfunction and Sleep Apnea …Therapy. Dr.Ogrodnick has published several scientific papers and articles, including a guest editorial in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He is very active in the dental community where he is the past president of the Emerson Dental Study Club, has been a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society's Yankee Dental, Scientific Committee, and a member of the Massachusetts Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Ogrodnick was awarded the designation of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), is an elected member of the Academy of Osseointegration (dental implants), and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has also been named an Evaluator Emeritus by Clinical Research Associates.  He has served on the faculties of The Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was a lecturer and clinical instructor in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry post doctoral training program. He is an elected member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for academic achievement.  Dr.Ogrodnick has been a resident of Acton since 1975 where he and his wife Cindy raised their three children. In the community he has served as a member of the Acton Board of Health, as a volunteer dentist for the Chernobyl Children's Program, and as the founder of the Acton Dental Associates Charitable Golf Tournament. In his free time he enjoys golf, bicycling, music, and traveling. Dr. Ogrodnick is also the founder of mydentalsecondopinion.com, an online dental second opinion service.
