Dr. David Arthur Ollendorff, MD

Ollendorf delivered my first son over thirty years ago and he was rude and inconsiderate not just to me but to the student who I allowed to observe. About a week before the birth, he made extremely inappropriate comments to me ( while he was examining me) about another patient he obviously was attracted to. At the delivery, he used forceps before realizing the monitor attached to the baby's scalp had become displaced and that's why he thought my baby was in distress. He was pompous and rude on several occasions throughout my prenatal care, and did a terrible job circumcising my son. It required three stitches! That should never happen! He's a terrible doctor.

Dr. David A. Ollendorff delivered my son over 30 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Ollendorf was gentle, informative and very humbling. I shall never forget his kindness. Dr. Ollendorff, thank you for your professionalism, knowledge, and expertise. You delivered a young man who grew up to be an amazing Attorney. I appreciate you being our Physician.

Very knowledgeable, attentive, and he stays abreast in his field. I also liked that my initial appointment with him started in his office, where he took my medical history, listened to my concerns, and even consulted a medical journal, the article ih which he shared with me, to help me understand what was going on with me. Dr. Ollendorf's patient care is excellent, both in and out of the hospital setting. Quite frankly, his attentiveness, persistence, knowledge and skill is what saved my life 23 years ago from what had been a previously misdiagnosed or overlooked cancer that began five years before I was referred to him.

I came to ollendorff after a move from Phila to Chicago; and rave reviews to my husband (an RN at Prentice Womens Hosp-Northwestern) for an ob/gyn. Ollendorff attended the birth of my 3rd child: he would NOT discuss damage sustained during the birth and referred me to Many specialists. After 7 years-during which I became a patient of Lisa Mazzullo, MD and experienced care as quality as in Phila-Ollendorff consented to sit down with me, handed me my chart, and admitted his faulty care during the birth. He acknowledged that he did NOT feel comfortable discussing this birth until the period for litigation had elapsed! Why I never sued?? I was quite involved caring for 3 young children and finding an md who could diagnose my problem (Dr. Abcarian, head of GI at UI-Circle). I still have problems but Dr. Abcarian has given me hope and what has resulted in helpful resources Please take my review of ollendorff to mind and heart: pregnancy and birth are a most wonderful time and NOT… worth risking on a poor risk doctor.
