David Charles Parris, MD

I happened to have a consultation with Dr. Parris, after my primary doctor was unavailable again and again. I was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, patience, and caring manner, that I requested that he be my new pcp. He explained my condition to me in detail, and scheduled regular follow up appointments. He is currently monitoring my progress and answering all of my questions. This alleviates a lot of fear and anxiety. He really cares! I would highly recommend him to anyone. There are so many primary doctors who seem not to care, because they only give you a bit of information and rush you on your way. This is not the case with this doctor. Dr. Parris stands head and shoulders above the rest!

Maybe he used to be good but now it appears he has no desire other than to collect a paycheck. There have been instances where he's just been like "welp I dunno what you have" and done nothing about it. Abnormal lab tests are outright ignored. Unless you know for sure what you have and what meds you need for it don't bother.

He is fine for a brief appointment where you pretty much know what you need, but he is kind of excruciating to sit with if it's something more involved. Just not a particularly pleasant doctor. One occasion I went his demeanor just made me feel embarrassed about something stupid. I asked him something about something on my skin once (it wasn't even the primary reason I was in) and he gave a kind of snarky condescending "That's why we have dermatologists." Wouldn't recommend unless you really need to see someone and he is the only one free.

Do not care about his cancer patients !!!
