Dr. David Phillips, MD

Worse Dr. I have ever encountered in my 66 years. There are lots of fine Drs to choose from who will be happy to treat us with care and respect. I will not do business with a Dr who is mean and bullies his patients, makes them feel inadequate, and dismisses them with no treatment or compassion sustaining a blood pressure of 186/139 which I found out was dangerous and that this Dr should have never allowed me to leave his office with a BP that high. I called 911 and they came to do a well check. My BP was still high but not 186/139. I just wanted to be safe, I didn’t want to go to the ER. I have my paperwork “Visit Summary” as proof, I keep thinking I need to report this Drs treatment or lack of. I have learned that if someone is treating me badly, I am not the first and I won’t be the last. Mean people were already being mean way before I came along, they are not respecters of persons. They are mean to most everyone, it’s their nature, their MO so to speak. Reading his reviews, he… is continuing to be nasty.Everybody reaps what they sow and his is coming. Nothing worse than being old, sick and scared with a mean old Dr.taking advantage of your vulnerable situation. Drs oath, “is to do no harm.” Who police’s this. I need to find out.

Couldn’t find a better doctor...anywhere. But the staff???!! Second order that sits at his office and doesn’t get faxed. First it was an order for an at home sleep study. Now it’s the CPAP. Has been a week since I was there and the medical supply place has not seen an order for me. They either don’t answer their phones or return calls when messages are left....or they make up multiple excuses as to why the orders aren’t received.

Dr Phillips was my fathers Dr for years and i never met a more caring, loving, kind hearted doctor in my life. He had a wonderful bedside manor and always told you like it was. The day my father passed away (4yrs ago) he never left the floor my father was on till our whole family was gone and if you seen the size of our family.. lets just say we are a BUNCH. He stayed and answered every question that my mother, brothers and myself as well as my fathers brothers and sisters had for him. This comment section is NOT nearly bi enough for the wonderful things i could say about Dr. Phillips but if you in need of a great lung dr. he is your guy.

Dr. Phillips needs better support from his staff--one nurse in particular. Acting office manager and receptionist are exceptionally competent people--other nurse is left wanting. I had to call over and over again to get information sent for sleep study. This one particular nurse would send additional referral, yet not include clinical information requested by sleep center. Same nurse sent prescription to DME facility not in my insurance network, despite my insistence that they send to insurance network providers. When confronting about delays, was met with resistance and excuses. I was blamed for her ignorance of medical procedures--was told that I had to have a prior sleep study to get another sleep study? Really? So, I called and got a copy of my six year old study from an out of state doctor--the very doctors office that Miss Nurse said had no patient records for me. At that point, I sadly decided to leave a fantastic doctor because of his nurse.

Would highly recommend! Compassionate, knowledgeable,, respectful of me and he listens!
