Dr. David Barry Pitts, MD

My experience with Dr. David Pitts at Spartanburg Medical Center was disappointing on multiple fronts. Beyond his concerning communication style, it was evident that he lacked a sense of care and direction in his medical practice. His discussions of end-of-life decisions and funeral arrangements felt premature and unsettling, demonstrating a lack of understanding of the emotional toll such conversations can take on patients and their families. Additionally, I found Dr. Pitts to be lacking in medical knowledge and attentiveness. He often failed to provide clear explanations, explore potential treatment options, or address our medical concerns thoroughly. This left me with the impression that he may not have been fully committed to fulfilling his duty as a healthcare provider and ensuring the well-being of his patients. While I cannot speak to his intentions, my experience with Dr. Pitts was far from satisfactory. I believe that he would greatly benefit from improving his… communication, bedside manner, and overall commitment to delivering quality medical care.
