My husband was a patient of Dr. Dembla's (Gibbs Cancer Center). He was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer. We knew that my husband's diagnosis was not good. However, every time we saw Dr. Dembla, he was so rude and never upbeat or had a kind word. He was very short with my son when he asked Dr. Dembla about one of his dad's blood tests. This was Dr. Dembla's answer, "I don't have time to give you a 30 minute lecture on this". I have never felt so defeated by a doctor and my husband dreaded every visit to him. I do not recommend him for any cancer treatment. He showed no compassion whatsoever and was negative every time we had an appointment. This was over a year ago and it still upsets me to think about how we were treated.
