Dr. David A Plager, MD

Dr. Plager is simply the best there is. He is great with children and I have full confidence in his ability to diagnose and treat.

Dr Plager has been our Dr. since she was 5 months old. He has performed 5 surgeries for her and she was able to pass the eye examine and get her driving permit!

Dr. Plager has treated both of my sons for lazy eye. We first saw Dr. Plager shortly after my son's 3rd birthday for lazy eye. Dr. Plager began by prescribing patching - which didn't work. He then performed the eye muscle surgery and that - with glasses - corrected the problem. Of course, when my younger son was approaching his 3rd birthday - we made sure to see Dr. Plager and not surprisingly - my younger son also had a lazy eye. However, in my younger son's case - the problem was corrected with glasses. I love the fact that Dr. Plager didn't try to "sell" me surgery for my son. He truly cares about his patients and it shows.

Prior to seeing Dr.Plager we had been taking our daughter to the Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor Michigan. While we knew she needed glasses and patching. Dr. Plager was the first to let us know that surgery correction was inevitable. The surgery and recovery was a quick outpatient procedure. My daughter had an operation in the morning and was fine and playing at home by noon that day. Since then her eyes have not wondered though we still need to patch.

My son (13 months old) had eye muscle surgery performed by Dr.Plager. He and his office staff are absolutely wonderful. They made us feel as if we were the only patient there. Every question was answered, and their follow up has been extraordinary. Dr.Plager is very informative and explains things so they are easy to understand. Highly recommend this physician.
