Dr. David Ashley Porter, MD

The outcome of my long ago surgery is still going strong after all this time. Most doctors advised that typically this type of surgery would have to be redone after 5-10 years, but it has been much longer, and my health is just as good now.

Dr. Porter has been my doctor since the day I found out I was pregant with my first child in 1996. I love him, and I cannot imagine going to any other doctor. He has helped me through two pregnancies, ovarian cysts and a parital hysterectomy. His bedside manner is AMAZING!

This man's head is the size of Texas. I endured nine months of him having no clue my name (not going to state my name but it's not ordinary), him forgetting that I lost a twin during this pregnancy, and he is such a male chauvinist making comments like "women b!tch a lot when their pregnant" I honestly think at one time this man was a good doctor but he's getting older and acts as if he's just done delivering babies. I would've changed doctors but it was a little late!

Doctor Porter delivered my first and only child so far. If I do have another I will for sure return to him. Dr. Porter never hesitated to tell me exactly how it was, no sugar coating, very honest and open. That should be what everyone desires in a doctor. It's your body, your baby, you should know every detail of what is going to happen, what is going on, and what could happen. If you want a doctor to sugar coat and tell you everything is going to be fine and dandy then go somewhere else. Dr. Porter has a great humor about him and was willing to give me all the time in the world that I needed to discuss whatever conserns I had. That may account for the wait time that many complain about. I would rather have to wait a while for a great doctor and know that I have all the time I need with him just like the patient before me did, instead of being a time slot and having to leave when my time is up. I always reccommend Dr. Porter to family, friends, and co-workers. He is an amazing… doctor, state of the art facility, and has an amazing staff.

I'm puzzled by some of these reviews. I found him very warm, thorough, caring & personable. Best Gyno I've ever had.

Dr. David Porter is lacking in professsionalism and cannot be trusted to have one's interest in mind. My experience with him was, well, should I say a nightmare! Enough said. . .the details of his bizarre behavior are pretty lenghty. I left knowing I MUST find a competent physician.

I was very concerned about my very petite daughter who is 19. She has lost 12 pounds. She has been extremely sick and can not hold anything down. Dr. Porter said he could not see her till she was 9 weeks. We took her to the healthplex in Norman, they gave her iv for dehydration and zophran for nausua. She immediately felt better and was hungry. When Dr. Porter finally did see her he treated myself, my daughter and my soon to be son n law (who is 24) like stupid white trash. Very condescending. He told us 3 times the way to get her better was to terminate the pregnancy. He asked me had a ever sick a pregnant person that was sick. I have had 3 kids. My first I was in and out of hospital...I know about sickness and pregnancies. He told her do you want a line in your neck to feed you but cause I can do that. And then he said and that's a threat. I asked him when he thought what I should look for to know when to bring her in since he thought I was to worried about her. He told… me when her lips are dry and cracking and she can't pee and she passes out. While examining her he told her to spread her legs like the night she got pregnant. His nurse was outstanding. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!

Would recommend him to others, and have done so.

Dr.Porter has been my Dr. for 16 years now. He has been amazing. Have been to other ob/gyn's and he by far beats the others. Very caring thorough and straight forward.
