Dr. David Preskill, MD

Dr. Preskill is extremely patient and caring. It his not his job to be the entertainment but he can be very funny. He takes his job extremely seriously and also donates his time to deliver and support babies pro bono. Given that at any time he has X number of patients who can be in labor, it is understandable that sometimes, someone else comes first. . .a baby! He was extremely professional when doing a procedure with anesthesiologist in the office. I trust him completely!!!

Dr. Preskill was my surgeon all the way back to May 1998. He was a most kind and gentile surgeon. He treated me with dignity and genuine concern, so much so that I still remember him all these years later. I had a total hysterectomy. His surgery technique left me with minimal amount of pain considering the scope of my surgery. I have recently recommended him to a friend. He has my five stars. And all these years later, I am grateful for his care.

I had a rather complicated pregnancy due to a medical condition but Dr. Preskills expertise allowed for a smooth delivery. My husband is a physician and I am a nurse so we sought out the best for the birth of our first child. He was always available to answer questions and would personally call to follow up.

When I became pregnant with my first child 9 months ago, I then became Dr. Preskill's patient and was amazed by his level of attention and care. When I was battling a stomach bug for a few days and texted him at 4am on his advice, he immediately called me back and directed me to go to the hospital to ensure it wasn't anything serious and to ensure the baby was ok. This is one example of many times that he's gone above and beyond in providing care. His attentiveness and responsiveness made me feel like I was his only patient! I was clueless about a lot of things related to pregnancy and delivery, and it was helpful and comforting to have him thoroughly walk me through every step.

I cant say enough good things about my experience here. V femina is everything it is advertised to be! It has been incredible for tighten everything up after having three big babies and giving me feeling back to experience sex in a beautiful way again. It has also helped me fix bladder issues especially during exercise. I have experienced a great group of professionals and total care. I can recommend highly!

I'm returning to him for my second pregnancy. He delivered my first as well. Was always nice and had wonderful bedside manner. I had issues after my son was born and he made sure I was taken care of by the right doctors and followed up with me when I was readmitted. Always showed concern and even excited as I was for the second pregnancy. Couldn't have found a better doctor.

Dr. Preskill was my doctor when I was pregnant with my daughter. He was very caring and helpful. His nurses were great as well. When I went into labor he was nice and tried to crack jokes to make me feel more comfortable. My husband and I laughed. I had to have an emergency C-section and was very nervous, he calmed me down a little and then said he would get the nurses to come and talk to me. During the C-section he walked me through it because that's what I wanted. I may not have remembered him walking me through it but my husband told me so. I gave birth to my daughter near the end of 2010 and I would go back to him if I was pregnant again.

David Preskill is THE WORST GYNOCOLOGIST in Lake County! Period. The most unprofessional doctor I ever saw. If you don't believe me read some of the other reviews about him. He is one of the most uncaring doctor there is. I was in the delivery room with my wife for our first child and what a wreck that day was. I mean there was my wife agonizing in pain because she was in labor, screaming, and me feeling completely helpless, unable to do anything but stand there next to her holding her hands, and this dirt bag (that would be David Preskill), instead of assuring her that everything is going to be alright, that she's doing great, he kept on flapping his jaw and joking with the nurses on the other side of the delivery room. A woman is going through one of the most intense, traumatic, precious, life changing experiences in her life, the culmination of last 9 months, and this dirt bag (David Preskill) was there joking, laughing loudly, and engaged in meaningless chit chat with the… nurses 12 feet away.That is not all, mind you. When he cut open my wife to widen the opening he did it so nonchalant. He grabbed a scissor and "snip", not a carefull, slow, calculated, surgical "snip", but more like as if he was cutting away some fat on a piece of meat "snip". Then he smirked and said "there's always suture". And the nurses giggled some more. I don't know if he was in there to take care of my wife and the child or if he was in there to entertain the nurses. Anyways... I could go on more, but I don't want to write a book about him, just a review to warn others of his exceptional unprofessionalism.

I wish I would have done my research on this doctor before trusting him to perform two procedures on me. First of all, he did a surgery that I had absolutely no reason to have in the first place. I think he just wanted the money. He also very rushed. He did not take enough time to discuss these procedures with me and I did not understand what they were and why I was having them. He frequently just walks out of the room without even saying he is done. I recently had surgery at his office that should have been done in the hospital. He does NOT have an Ultrasound machine which was prob necessary 4 my surgery. I was shook out of the antithesis still very groggy, the nurse basically carried me to the other room & threw me in a chair where the dr came in & quickly said he was not going to give me any pain meds even tho he normally does. but because I told him I have 2 at home I take everyday for chronic pain! I was still out of it and they just pushed me out the door! I was never put in… recovery and allowed to wake up and make sure I was ok before leaving. they never gave me anything for pain after performing an ablation! I wound up in the worst pain I have ever felt in my LIFE!! I had to go to the ER two nights in a ROW-he made sure to tell the ER docs not to write me any pain meds cuz I had some at home!He does not understand chronic pain and because of that he punished me and refused to treat me like every1 else. DO NOT expect him to CARE! After doing research on the procedure I realized Dr Preskill never preformed standard testing that should have been done prior to the surgery. I was also not put in recovery room where other patients usually spend 1-2 hours and receive IV medication for the ride home. I think this was due to a scheduling error because there were other woman waiting. Overall, I am having some issues and will not be going back to him for follow up care. I will find a Dr that will not treat me differently just because of a medicine I take that he does not understand. He is unprofessional and a terrible doctor when anything falls outside the 'norm'-BEWARE!

Dr. Preskill was my Doctor 15 years ago and delivered my son. I had gone nearly nine years without a visit and then found him. He is very friendly and will put you at ease if you are uncomforatable with doctor visits.
