Dr. David J Prybyla, MD

I am a Plastic Sugeon and Division Chief at Brown University working for over 30 years and know generations of great Orthopods. I needed both knees replaced and couldn’t find anyone at Brown or Harvard to perform total joints on both sides. My driver from Boston had a friend who had bilateral knees done by Dr Prybala. Coincidently my next door neighbor in RI is an Orthopedic Surgeon and when I mentioned Dave’s name he replied that he’d trained him at New England Baptist years ago and said he was “good”. I’m here to tell you that he is seriously “great”. Both sides done in 2 hrs 13 minutes robotically assisted. I stayed overnight and attended our graduating residents farewell dinner right from the hospital. One month later with Dr Pybala’s permission I helped win a member guest tournament at RI Country Club. I do 500 lbs on the squat rack 15 reps 3 sets WITH NO PAIN over 16 months after surgery. I have been doing that since the 2nd month postop. I am blessed to have had him. I have… no affiliation.

I had pain that made doing daily activities unbearable until I met Dr Prybyla. He went through every process to relieve my pain and finally decided to do a hip replacement. He is a compassionate, great bedside manner and helped change my life. Thank you to him and all his staff.

Just had my second hip replacement yesterday! Dr. Prybyla was so personal and patient centered that I can’t thank him enough! Without question the best in our area. Also thank all the support staff at Lowell General, outstanding!

I shattered two bones in my foot and went to the er and he told them to wrap it and see me Monday. I've been tortured 3 times by having splints put on when he should of come in to do surgery in the first place. I call Monday after suffering for the weekend and he was in surgery and couldn't see me until Tuesday. I went to Lahey to see one of the best doctors in the country. Thank god I didn't see him.

I have made 3 appointments with Dr Prybyla and all three times he has been over the appointment time by an hour. As a single parent getting paid hourly, i value the importance of being on time... or at the very least, effective communication when running late. The front desk is run by a couple of young kids who couldn't care less. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication.

I'm coming up on 2 years with 2 total knee replacements, and I would definitely recommend Dr.Prybyla. He was the best in all areas, explaining the procedure, step by step info, pre op and post op. I never had problems getting through to them, Gail or someone usually called back in fair amount of time with my questions. I wish I didn't wait so long the best thing I ever did. I went through cortisone shots, gel shots with a different doctor for what I was still in severe pain until I saw him. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. P is a brilliant man. He was able to perform a new surgury on my hip to relieve me from the pain that I was in for years. Dr. P gets on your level and describes conditions and proceedures that you can understand. He is all around a grade A+ doctor.
