Dr. David Matthew Pryputniewicz, MD

Should give up his practice, I spent over a month waiting on a referral to his office from my pain doctors office and for him to review my MRI. While I am dealing with extreme pain from bulging disks in my neck as well as loss of strength and fine motor skills in my hand only to be told that I should be referred to a weight loss clinic.

I was 100 % pleased with everything Dr. Pryputniewicz did in my recent surgery on C4-C5 fusion. He was caring, professional and excellent in every way possible. I will continue to be under his care.

I absolutely do not reccomend this Dr. I have Atypical hemangiomas on my spine. I have a pertroding area on my back that he didn't even look at. He spoke to me less than 5 minutes and as I was trying to ask if there was anything he could do meaning injections or some other treatment he mumbled something about pain medication which I didn't ask for. I went to him for help and came out crying because he only addressed what he wanted to and completely dismissed me. He's not willing to listen and lacks the ability to listen or be compassionate. I am seeking another neurosurgeon outside of this area.

Dr. P is wonderful! I had cervical stenosis an was unable to walk an we went in surgery, an came out walking 8 hrs later! I would recommend him to anyone who suffers!

I seen Carla cheek went for surgical evaluation and she is a lieing piece of trash from my experience if I had to rate the whole place over my experience and I do and I will rate it my experience they get a zero gonna get in touch with my insurance and file a grievance so they won't get paid or try to fraud my insurance she straight up lied to me about a simple referral but I called ahead of them and caught them in a lie even the place where I was referred said they lied and they knew better my PCP said they were not using blue ridge anymore because they had alot of this and other stuff happen so they're not using them anymore

Almost 4 months since my back surgery and I can say that my back pain is GONE! Had what I thought was a simple fall from husband's truck. No pain at the time of the fall and landed on my feet but hard. It was not a simple fall by any means. I woke up the next morning in excruciating pain and couldn't walk, lost my job and finally had do give up and apply for SSD. I saw 1 surgeon for the severe hip pain and was told I had to have my spine taken care of first. It was in layman's terms, zig zagged. Dr. P performed the surgery and for the first time in 3 years I woke up in no pain from my back. I have been released so now on to the hip replacement. I pray the surgeon that performs it is as wonderful surgeon as Dr. P is because if he is I will have a great quality of life back. I did have a concern regarding my back and left a message over the weekend. A member of his staff actually called me back on Sunday afternoon. She addressed all my concerns and explained the problem I was having… was due to my hip. She had my records in front of her and I was so impressed with her knowledge and ability to explain the problem I was having and that it was all my hip. She was so right in her explanation! His staff is great too. Imagine actually getting a call on Sunday afternoon from the doctor's office to address a concern! If I ever need any type surgery on my back, neck or any area of his expertise I will definitely be seeing Dr. David Pryputniewicz. Thank you Dr. P and your staff! Dr. Pryputniewicz, you are absolutely the BEST!

I had my second appointment with Dr. P today and he scheduled my surgery. He was so thorough and answered all of my questions so patiently. I can't wait for my back to finally be fixed by the doctor that I think is absolutely the BEST!

I was referred to Dr. Pryputniewicz by another neurosurgeon that did not feel comfortable doing the surgery I need. I saw a neurosurgeon in Knoxville and he said Dr. P was very qualified to perform the surgery I need. I wanted 2 opinions and my first surgeon choice in Knoxville operates at a facility that doesn't take my insurance. It is about the same distance for me to go to either city so I wanted to go to Kingsport. Dr Pryputniewicz's staff is wonderful. Dr. Pryputniewicz is very matter of fact and to the point. He doesn't sugar coat anything and is very honest. Having been to both Kingsport and Knoxville I will always choose Kingsport for my surgical needs. I have confidence in Dr. Pryputniewicz and am only waiting test results to schedule surgery.

Dr. P accurately diagnosed my spine condition, performed surgery and has been excellent in his care and concern for my condition, his skills are impeccable and his knowledge of spine disorders and problems are the best of any doctor I have seen. I would highly recommend him for your spinal health care needs.
