Dr. David Christopher Rice, MD

The mark of a good Surgeon is not just great surgical day success, but unsurpassed care when complications occur from that surgery. On the latter Dr. Rice was an utter failure. My wife, Jill Brewer, spent 49 days in hospital after her elective left chest wall reconstruction before passing from complications. Dr Rice was totally non communicative during this period. There was absolutely no communication during her stay. He seemed to lose interest in Jill after surgery delegating her care to subordinates. No immediacy to try to solve her problems or even interest in doing so. Treats patients as a number, not as a person. Terrible experience. Get your affairs in order prior to surgery with Dr. Rice.

Stage 4 metistatic melanoma of left pleural space with drop metastasis from previous wedge biopsy. D. Rice MD is a very skilled and gifted thoracic surgeon. I was given a non operable diagnosis. This is just not the case with this talented surgeon. I can only recommend him. Nothing but great things to say about him. Looking forward to the t cell therapy that he is actively involved with. Dr Rice saved my life! He did my mesothelioma surgery and follow up with radiation- one year later my scans show no cancer! He was aggressive with his actions and with that I have my life back! Words cannot say enough to describe my gratitude to Dr Rice.
