David Robins, DO

Referred to Dr. Robins for back pain. MRI says herniated disc. Attempts steroid shots with no improvement. Attempts physical therapy with no improvement. Finally says surgery is needed but that I have to lose weight. Says he will refer me a weight loss clinic in knoxville. Weeks later I have to call his office and they tell me to go to the one in athens. The one in athens doesnt take insurance. I tell them that. They now say im noncompliant with the weight loss. But im still waiting on the referral. Also put me out of work indefinitely. I had to go back for another drs note on missing work bc I had to turn it in to my lawyer and needed one for my primary. His office staff then tries to say that he didnt tell me I had to be out of work. I show them the first note and they take it and rewrite it where it doesnt say that I need to be out of work. The whole office is shady. They just drag you along so they can bill the insurance companies more.

This dr. moves around to much. In 2 years has moved 4 times. I had back surger and when the Dr. release me from the hospital he gave me no antibiotics that a week later I was so infected that I could not walk.

I have had no problems in wait time for Dr Robins office. He did a knee replacement for me and it went comfortable and as smoothly as possible, given the circumstances. My knee feels good as new. You people complaining about wait time must be their for the pain clinic. Because Ortho always is fine. Here's some advice, quit complaining about wait time because if you're there for pain meds odds are you have nothing better to do that day! 4 stars

I had to wait an average of two hours on both visits with at least 2other patients with the same time. when I called about a test the Dr ordered they said I had to come back in and see the doctor AGAIN, when I finally saw him there in his notes were the orders. He didn't even stay in the room so I could ask questions about my problem after all I still needed more test. So here I sit 3 months still nothing done to help me,

Shame on you Dr. Robins. No one should ever have to wait over 2 hours to see a doctor. Your staff is so eager to take money in up front, then make you wait and wait.

He knows his stuff and doesn't waste time. My total hip replacement result was excellent and I feel fortunate to have him on my side.
