Dr. David Nathaniel Arthur Ryan, DO

My mother was taken to the hospital in Geneva.. She saw Dr. Ryan in the ER. He but her on medication he knew she was allergic to. It caused severe heart palpitations, vomiting, and abdominal pain. My mother is 88 yrs old. If he had listened to patient and family member this would not have happened. It could have been the end of my mother's life. It could have been your mother. Dr. needs to have compassion and concern. If he cant he needs to hang up the white coat.

He is rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. Waste of time!!!

I really like the staff they are great, but Dr Ryan not at all! He just wants to prescribe antipsychotic meds with serious side effects and very serious withdrawals not to mention the cost for simple ailments like headaches. During my first visit he sits down and gives me a talk about how these non narcotic anti depressants and similar antipsychotic drugs will treat head aches and back pain and I left there with no less then 7-8 prescriptions. After a little research I found these drugs can cause far worse problems then the back pain and tension head aches I have. Beware Of doctors like him prescribing these meds! Take those meds if you have too, but not for simple things like headaches and back pain or anything you can just deal with. These meds can make you loose your mind if you don't take them everyday. Some are crazy expensive and if your insurance decides they don't want to pay for it then you have to. Some are very high, $15-$50 a pill! What do you do if you don't have the… money? I ran into this problem years ago. Cymbalta is just one of these meds. I was prescribed this for nerve damage in my back. The withdrawalals caused 'Brain Shivers' and lasted for months! Some others are even worse. I can name several. Dr Ryan sent me to a "so called" Neurologist with the same incentives in mind. He prescribed Effexor XR and no CT scan or MRI. I told him I was not taking Effexor and why. Then he prescribed something else with a different name, telling me it was different and better. Well Google says it's Effexor ES essentially the same. Sorry, but I will stick with Tylenol and over the counters and I will find a doctor with my interest in mind and not some incentive he makes off prescribing antipsychotic meds! What are these people trying to do to us? I hope this rating helps someone!

I have ever been to a Dr, that treated you like you mattered and his staff was the best. I had given up on life after Husband passed away and Dr, Ryan cared and now I am a very happy woman
