I felt very normal the day I found out my PSA was 22.65, I had absolutely no symptoms of having prostate cancer. The biopsy showed 8 out of the 12 samples had cancer. The MRI showed the cancer was bulging and would "escape the capsule" very soon (4-6 months). I live in Virginia Beach, VA and turned to local surgeons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd opinions. My wife heard about Dr Samadi through a friend whose father was treated by Dr Samadi with excellent results. After researching Dr Samadi's impressive credentials I knew I wanted to get his opinion and hopefully have him perform the Robotic Prostatectomy. We made the call for an appointment thinking there is no way he would fit me into his busy schedule. We we're pleasantly surprised that we got an appointment 2 weeks later. At the appointment, we we're also pleasantly surprised at how genuinely kind and concerned Dr Samadi was. We respected his opinion which called for a Robotic Prostatectomy as soon as possible. He graciously made room… on his schedule to do the surgery 2 weeks later! Both of my brothers had prostate cancer and did not chose their surgeons wisely. They are both struggling with quality of life issues and are both wearing depends and have no sex life. I had my surgery on Jan 2, 2019 and was in Lenox Hill hospital for 3 days. Dr Samadi and his staff had explained every step of the procedure to me so I knew mostly what to expect. The surgery went flawlessly and I was up walking the Halls of the hospital the next day. Walking is recommended as soon as possible and helps pass the gas that can cause discomfort. Dr Samadi's bedside manner is exceptional and he makes you feel like you are his only patient and is truly concerned about your recovery. It has now been 3 months since the surgery and I am feeling like I am back to being 100%. I only wore Depends for 2 weeks and don't think I even needed them that long. Dr Samadi was able to spare all of my nerves and has made my quality of life after having your prostate removed the best it can be! He is an incredible surgeon and I feel so blessed that I was able to have Dr Samadi operate on me. If you have prostate cancer and you are looking for the BEST surgeon in the business, look no further than Dr David Samadi, you won't regret it. in describing Dr.Samadi words fall short, very short, words like amazing , God sent , miracle worker , do not do him justice. I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and as a well established physician I pulled all the plugs in terms of research and phone calls to colleagues on the best in the field to care for me, I interviewed / consulted with all the renowned medical centers in the US , Sloan , NYU , Moutnt sinai , MD anderson to name a few and it became clear to me that the best choice is Dr.Samadi for several reasons , the most important of which was communications and doctor patient relationship ,something that other "well known names in the field " terribly lack, at that point , in-network or not did not matter to me , dr samadi was going to be the one and I am beyond glad with my decision. All statistics mention 6 month to a year for return to "normal " continence , to my most pleasant surprise two days after catheter removal I am totally continent , no lie , to the… point that my wife doubted me , and I had to show her, I never thought that wasting money is a good thing but giving away my 6 month supply of "depends " was the best wasted money I ever had, Dr samadi told me from the begining " we are together in this journey " and we were , him texting me twice a day to check on my progress , answering all my questions and concerns no matter what time of the day he left me wanting/needing for nothing , now we are working on my ED which is not bad at all , all things being considered..so you see I don't have adequate words to describe Dr.Samadi skills and his work ethics ..perhaps a from the bottom of my heart a sincere thank you is what I can say...I am his biggest fan.. P.S. his staff deserve as much credit for their kindness , professionalism and people skills.

From the first meeting and throughout this ordeal we felt secure in the knowledge that i was in very capable hands. Dr. Samadi and his staff are an amazing group of people ! They saved my life ! I had stage 2 prostate cancer, and was able to detect it early with blood work and a biopsy, i then had surgery to remove the prostate before the cancer could spread. Dr Samadi is extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and kind. He preformed the biopsy, and surgery, and was also there during recovery. I am a patient of Dr Samadi. This past weekend I found blood in my urine. I panicked. It was 8:00 pm on a Saturday night. Without a second thought I texted my Doctor.
