Dr. David Kenneth Scales, MD

I’ve only seen the doctor several times and out of the times I have been there, the lady at the front that checks me in and checks me out has been very helpful. I don’t know what the problem is with the lady that calls me and asked me how my vision is but she seems like she doesn’t care about me nor the other people including other patients. I heard a patient trying to ask her a question, and she just walked off. Then the lady at the front tried to ask her a question, and she just turned her head and walked away. She needs to have better manners, as I will be looking for another doctor to continue my care. I don’t have any issues with the doctor nor the front desk lady. It is the lady that ch my vision. I over heard her telling another patient that she doesn’t like her and that is why I walked away. I got her attention and asked if there was a manager available and she said no is there a problem with the girl at the front desk and I said no it’s something else. She said that I can… tell her and she will let the manager know. She wanted me to tell her the issue, but I told her that it’s ok as I wanted to let the manager know about her and the way she was treating the employees and patients.

Called the office to request medical records for a patient. Front desk receptionist was unprofessional. Transferred me to Medical Records where I spoke to Misty, she was very rude and unwilling to assist me. I asked to speak to the manager and she stated she was the manager. I was just trying to give a secondary fax number so she could resend records for a patient in office and she refused.

STAFF FOR THE MEDICAL RECORDS DEPARTMENT WAS VERY RUDE

I have been seeing Dr. Scales for a few weeks now and will likely continue for several more weeks or months due to a stubborn case of uveitis. He came highly recommended by another ophthalmologist and so far I am pleased. He is very knowledgeable, and contrary to a few comments, not cold or in need of better bedside manner. He has always been attentive and in no rush when he's with me. His staff is great too. He has a top notch office and it runs very smoothly. I feel I am in good and competent hands.

I had a severe eye infection that came up out of no where. Dr. Scales made time in a very busy day to fit me in his schedule. He promptly diagnosed my problem and found out the infection could have severely damaged my eye to the point of blindness. My eye is doing great! It's nice to know that when you really need your doctor that you are his number one priority! I would recommend Dr. Scales to all my friends, family and my patients. Thanks Dr. Scales and staff!

Office was usually very busy, but from experience, so are all other opthalmologists in this city. Staff was friendly and Dr. Scales was very direct and explained everything that I needed to know.

No bed side manner, he left a piece of something in my father's eye after surgery and said it was normal. Later we found out it wasn' . He yells at his staff in front of patients, his wife is just as bad, if you can understand what she is saying.
