Dr. David Bruce Schwartz, MD

The fact that he was getting hundreds of thousands of dollars per year from medical companies really makes me question whether his recommendations were for his patient’s benefit or for his own!

I went in just for medication but he forced me to have an exam that I later found out was against the American college of obstetrics and gynecologies recommendations. I would avoid him at all costs!

Dr.Schwartz had his medical license suspended due to inappropriate contact and comments with patients. These incidents occurred while he was on probation for previous undisclosed behaviors with patients. I hope he wasn't your doctor, his patients deserved better.

Great doctor and very nice staff in main office kind and friendly and comfortable environment.

I have been patient of Dr. Schwartz for many years including the birth of daughter in 1986. I feel he is safe/professional and concerned about me today as much as he was with my pregnancy - which is very difficult to find. He is kind and really wants Women to have the BEST for their health and body - from young women to older - he is the right Doctor to pick. If you have questions, he take the time to with you for your "personal" concerns. Thank you for your constant service Dr. Schwartz.

I drove across town for this doctor, who was recommended by my sister. Dr. Schwartz is worth the trip. His staff is so sweet and welcoming. He is funny and made me feel comfortable. He gives you the play by play of everything he is doing and eases any discomfort or anxiety you may have. I absolutely love them all.

I saw Dr. Schwartz a few times, he insisted I needed LEEP surgery immediately and of course he was the savior who could keep me from dying. I couldn't afford the surgery and he said he'd do it for 400 cash on the day of the surgery. I had the surgery and then found out from my next gynecologist that it was unnecessary based on the test results. It impacted my ability to have a natural childbirth years later. Then, a good friend of mine who had a family member who was another obgyn who worked with Dr. Schwartz told me that he was being investigated by the medical board for doing inappropriate sexual things during exams, his nurses had turned him in. Narcissistic nightmare, steer clear.

Dr. Schwartz advised a hysterectomy that was not warranted for my elderly 85 yr old mother with dementia who was frail and had suffered cognitive impairment after anesthesia in her early 80's. Not only was the surgery unnecessary but potentially dangerous. At the very least she probably would have missed her grandsons' weddings that year. I found out about it and shut it down. I would not recommend Dr. Schwartz. My mother's overall health and well being were not considered. It's conceivable she would not have lived through or recovered from that unnecessary surgery.

Looking back on the miracle of childbirth, the memory that will forever stand out to me is being yelled at by Dr. Schwartz for asking questions and requesting to hold off on taking pitocin after only having two contractions after he broke my water. He was condescending, rude and combative when I didn't take his direction to start drugs and give the water break more time than just two contractions to prove I was progressing enough for him. He suggested what I'd learned in birthing class was useless because he has "delivered babies for thirty years" and threatened to put my holding off on the drug in my chart, as if this chart matters. He shouted at me and tried to intervene when the head floor nurse came in to speak with me. I refused to let him back into the room because I did not trust him. My contractions increased without the use of drugs the way that they should have and the nurses assured me I was progressing perfectly fine. Trust your instincts. If you have questions and your… doctor cannot answer them patiently, run.

Dr. Schwartz is a very charming man. His skills as a doctor are scary though. I was in his office for an endometrial biopsy and When he injected the lidocaine I went numb from the neck down, I was scared he said oops I didn't draw back must have went in a vein or artery then yelled at me while I laid the practically paralyzed to shut up it will wear off in 15 minutes. After is was over and I began to have feeling again I was so scared I was shaking and he told his asst to give me a glass of water cause I was having an anxiety attack that it was me over acting. He has previously done surgery on me, but after that day I never saw him again ...too scary!
