Dr. David Alan Schwartz, DO

The first time I had an appointment with him I waited for 2 hours past the appointment time. Most of the time he is running at least an hour behind. Don't choose him if you want someone who is prompt.

I had an emergency and had to be sent to the hospital but Dr.S saw me immediately and again the next day and took time to explain to me what I needed to do. I never felt rushed and the office staff is very helpful.I have recommended him to many people.

My expierience with him sucked. I was in the ER and admitted. My follow up appt. a week later, he walks in and asked me "whats going on to bring you here today", I had to tell him that I was in the hospital last week.My father also seen him which he did nothing for. My father was in the hospital and Dr. Schwartz walks into his room and said "There is nothing I can do for you, if you would need an operation I don't think you would make it through" and walks out of the room.Sent him home two days later. There is alot more to my story with this doctor,but this is the main part.

Staff got me in when I was sick...wait is usual (I want to know where people go and don't wait!!) Good listening and takes time

I'm young and new to the area so I wasn't looking for much in a doctor (or so I thought). Being a young person, going to the doctor and sitting in a waiting room full of geriatrics (I'm not talking about people 2 decades my elder, I'm talking 60s and 70s) makes me feel a bit out of place. And the excessive waits I have, between sitting in the waiting room before I go into a room, and then the time I spend sitting in a room until he actual shows up, are frustrating. Worst was my recent attempt at getting a prescription refilled. Last visit, he told me just call in when I needed a refill of my 2 Rxs, so I did. I called after I ran out, but that was purely my fault. However, it took over a week and 3 requests to get my prescriptions filled to get a month supply of ONE medicine sent to the pharmacy. Since then I've decided to change physicians (as well as insurance coverage, but that's something else entirely)
