Dr. David Randal Seale, MD

Dr. Seale has been treating my mother for schizoaffective disorder, bipolar type the past five years. He is a caring, attentive doctor, he listens and is very respectful to my mother. He schedules her appointments during his non-office hours because that is the only day I can transport her to his office for her sessions. I cannot say enough good things about him.

My father has Alzheimer's, and I've been very impressed with Dr. Seale's care and treatment of my Dad and his illness. It's refreshing to have a Dr who actually addresses Daddy one-on-one, rather than directing questions and comments to me as so many of Dad's doctors do. Even with this debilitating illness, Dad is a person who deserves to be recognized as such.

Appts. are easy to get, most likely b/c of his demeanor.The doctor is quite arrogant, condescending, and rude. I despise people who talk over others, especially when they ask a question and will not allow you to answer it!

My mother is 84 years old and suffers from depression. We were referred to Dr. Seale by really a random reference. After 31 sessions my mother is worse. She say that he tells her it is all in her head and she can be happy only if she wants to. He sure keeps billing us for her sessions though. Dr. Seale is very arrogant, when we asked him why we werent' seeing any improvemnt after 3 times a week for almost 3 months he told us that it may be due to her living conditions. Since she lives with us and my home is immaculate I took offense to that. His demeanor is terrible and he treats everyone else as though they are his subjects in a royal court. We are still receiving bills due to some contract that they made us sign before he would see her stating that we have to give 60 days notice of separation if we no longer want hi seeing her.

Dr Seale is condescending and cold towards his patients. Unlike most psychiatrists, he lacks the ability to listen closely and to empathize. Furthermore, he and his staff are lax in calling in refills even when the medication is one in that cannot be stopped abruptly. On one particular occasion I called in to have a medicine refilled 2 times during the week - then the weekend came and it still wasn't called in. I had to go 5 days without my medication. Dr Seale, degrades his patients and makes them feel inferior - their ideas unfounded and stupid. I've been to many psychiatrists and Dr Seale has proven to be the worst one!
