Neurosurgery always appealed to me because it combines traditional, proven operative techniques with modern, cutting-edge technology. The fields of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery continue to evolve in this manner. A neurosurgeon must be dedicated to lifelong learning to keep abreast of all new developments in order to effectively treat each individual. Patient preferences are also a key factor in treatment. The assistance of rehabilitation specialists, internists, neurologists, psychologists, oncologists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists are often included in the treatment plan. Our practice has an established network of these various providers for the benefit of our patients.
