Dr. David William Shoemaker

Be prepared to wait in various waiting rooms. Lines of patients at every stage of your visit. Be very sure they take your insurance and they cover your test and procedures. I asked if they take my insurance should have asked if they are IN network. After a have hour being UP Sold the Dr. Shoemaker appeared and took a total of 2 minutes with me. After all that I was being given a time for surgery. When I asked what my deductible is everyone was surprised. They had to get the billing department. Now they tell me since they are not IN network my insurance only covers half. Such a waste of time and now my insurance is being billed for test that my in network Dr. Is not accepting.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes with the Advanced lens. The whole procedure was a well run operation. I could not be more impressed with his staff and his skills. Follow -up Dr. Gaunt and the staff at Englewood office are all very nice and skilled. They answer all your questions and take very good care of you! Would recommend them highly !!!

Wow! Can't believe I can see so well again (and I'm not considered fully recovered yet!)!. Dr. Shoemaker and his staff made what could be a scary procedure(s) extremely tolerable. Every one was pleasant and very professional, and that had to be at the direction of Dr. Shoemaker and his associated doctors. I am so glad I selected Center for Sight for this procedure(s). Thank you.

-I had my Cataract surgery done in CA. The surgery did not go well. I suffered from pain and poor vision after. I spent 2 months researching to find the best surgeon that I could trust to fix the damage that occurred from my first surgery. Dr. Shoemaker was highly recommended by multiple friends and medical professionals. I met with Dr. Shoemaker, he reviewed my options with me, the dangers and the possible results. I had the surgery done 6 weeks ago and my vision is improving without further damage. I am forever grateful to Dr. Shoemaker for restoring my vision and accepting my challenging case. Center for Sight is one of the best run medical organizations I have had experience with.

Not only did my vision go from 20/200 to 20/30 in less than 14 hours, but I received the best compassionate patient care, to include someone holding my hand through surgery. Very beneficial trip to the doctor, great staff and very very smooth surgery. The doctor is certainly not a relative of John Taylor that Bach talked about.. ): The 13 year old procedure performed was that of a skilled surgeon reassuring the patient comfort in the process.

It's like a factory in there...employees efficient but impersonal. At least 100 patients in the various waiting rooms waiting. And, plan to spend hours there. Last doctor assistant you meet before the doctor is there for the hard-sell. I went in for what I thought was an one eye cataract surgery, and was approached with upsell of both eyes with advanced lenses. Doctor himself is very sterile and has no bedside manner. Very cold and curt. I won't be back there for my surgery. P.S. If you do decide to see him, offer him a breath mint.

Dr Shoemaker was my surgeon in 2016 I had cataract surgery No follow up only if there would have been a problem I found him to be aloof Very sure of himself Short tempered and had this pompous attitude that he was my doctor I felt as thoughI was being tested and eventually passed He has an imposing stance and acts as though he is doing you a favor by being your doctor Very little warmth He is kind of scary physically I was a little frightened of him

I have always been very pleased with Dr, shoemaker and the staff at Center for Sight. He sis my cataract surgery 12 years ago and my eyesight, unaided, has been great since!
