Dr. David P Solomon, DDS

David P. Solomon, DMD, MAGD received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont in 1976 and his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1979. Dr. Dave then completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Sepulveda, California. Upon his return to Massachusetts in 1980, Dr. Dave joined his father’s practice, Dr. Philip J. Solomon, Inc.
For 30 years, Dr. Dave has attended and participated in continuing education courses and training. In 1991, Dr. Dave received his Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. This award required 500 hours of continuing dental education. Dr. Dave continued his commitment to responsible patient care by attending six levels of extensive courses held at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Training located in Key Biscayne, Florida. In 2005, Dr. Dave completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s Maxi-Course in Oral …Implantology at New York University. This required 300 hours over a ten-month period of lecture and hands on training, enabling Dr. Dave to surgically place and restore dental implants. Dr. Dave was awarded an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, after successful submittal of three written/case exams followed by an oral/case exam held in Chicago in May 2009.
In July 2009, Dr. Dave was awarded the prestigious Mastership Award during the Academy of General Dentistry’s Convocation ceremony held in Baltimore, Maryland. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Dave completed 1100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. This award honors Dr. Dave for his long-term commitment to go above and beyond continuing education requirements to provide his patients with the most up-to-date treatment options and superior patient care.
Dr. Dave is proud to be a member of the following dental affiliates, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and The Massachusetts Dental Society.
Additionally, Dr. Dave is a faculty member at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he volunteers weekly as a clinical instructor in Operative Dentistry.
Dr. Dave and his wife, Janice, reside in Lynnfield where they raised two sons and one daughter. Dr. Dave is an avid Boston sports fan! He enjoys participating in cycling, rowing, skiing and snowboarding.
