Over the past 5 years I have been with 4 doctors. Most I feel are happy with spinal injections and not really communicating well and really caring about my pain. Especially more so since pain medications were taken away from those that really need it and must get them from a Pain Specialist. For the first time, a Pain Doctor took the time to be a Physician, a real Doctor, a caring individual. He listened to everything I had to say, did not think about how many injections he could give me, but rather worked out a systematic plan to relieve my problems and shared it with me. I was so happy in just talking to him before the procedures I almost cried and I am an older man who rarely does that.. Even when he gave me my initial injection with cortisone, it was different. He found the nerve area but injected it ever slowly with very little discomfort. All other Doctors that had done the same procedure seem to push it in hard when they reach their targeted. Dr. Stone does it… slowly and took the time to explain why. The previous Pain Doctor told me he couldn't get to the nerve, it was blocked and did what is called a "caudel" not sure of the spelling, but it is more of a hit and miss proposition since it doesnt go directly to the targeted facet. It goes all over. Dr. Stone told me that many Doctors that are so-called specialists, are trained as Anesthetists, and not truly trained the same. He then followed up with a phone call by his surgical team but wanted to meet with me rather then set up a second injection. Again, most others just wish to get you in for another injection, and again....and again if you get some results. During this consultation we agreed that I got some relief but he and I both felt it would only temporary. So he suggested to target the area on a longer lasting basis and I agreed. He did 2 spinal blocks. which are like pinches, and last for a few hours. After that it was determined he had the right nerves to target. He thoroughly told me the procedure and that in itself I found amazing. The previous and "top rated" pin Doctor by 2 physicians, told me nothing. Wait, he told me my body was like an old car and falling apart, set up to have an injection, and explained absolutely nothing. He did charge Medicare $400 for 10 minutes of his time, but that's another story. I forgot, the other pain Doctors looked at x-rays that were 5-10 years old, Dr. Stone recommended new ones before we did any procedures. I had spinal ablation on 4 facets just a couple of days ago, but in fact, my biggest pain area has been relieved and I was told not to expect full results for about 2 weeks or a bit more. I feel totally comfortable in Dr. Stones hands. I could go on and on about pain Doctors. So let me just conclude. If you have been told you aren't comfortable in hearing, or wish to talk to an honest to goodness Doctor who listens and does his job, do yourself a favor and speak to him. I know his office has changed and it now on Dobson Rd, but it is worth the drive. Oh, one last thing, Dr. Stone was trained as a Physiatrist. It might be worth your time to check that out or find one with similar training in your area. After all, it is your back and you deserve the best. I found my best and I hope all that reads does the same. Good luck!

The best quality as a patient of Dr. Stone is the fact that he does not let the MD behind his name drive a barrier between himself and his patients. There is nothing worse then needing the help of a Dr. and said Dr. refuses to or loses thier ability to be a human and care. This is one thing I am foreign to now that I am a patient of Dr. Stone, and to make it even better his staff from the front office all the way up to his Nurse Pratctioner (I will not have enough characters to rightfully give Tina the recognition she deserves) all follow his suite in making each visit comfortable and beneficial! Thank you Dr. Stone + Staff and hats off for being the “Do’er’s” of what should be the norm in the medical field!!

Total Satisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Stone and his staff! He explains his diagnoses and recommendations clearly and gives options when such are available. He takes time as needed to do this, without seeming to be rushed. I believe he likes his work, and is invested in providing the best possible care for his patients. Definitely recommend him and his extended staff.

Office is clean. I had almost no wait time. Dr. Stone must have spent at least 45 minutes with me. He showed me my x-rays and MRI's and explained my diagnosis in detail. He then put together a treatment plan that included a shoulder injection and physical therapy. I was able to do physical therapy in the same office. Dr. Stone would stop and check on me while I was in physical therapy . The communication between my therapist, Amanda, and Dr. Stone was very important to me. I really felt that they listed and the plan worked. I'm glad I'm feeling better and back to playing volleyball, but I will gladly go see them if I end up with another injury.

Amazing doctor! I have never been to a doctor who has spent a whole hour with me. I love that he didn't just give me a prescription and send me away like every other pain doctor I have been to. Dr. Stone recommended an epidural injection followed by physical therapy and disc decompression therapy. I haven't been able to sit without pain for 2 years and now I am pain free.

This doctor cares! I am a self proclaimed complicated case. Dr. Stone spent a lot of time with me to figure out what was going on. He called to follow up with me the next day and was even willing to see me on a Saturday when I had a flare-up. This office is also a one stop shop. After getting an epidural injection with Dr. Stone I started physical therapy with Dr. Warren. The doctors in this office make a great team. I have been pain free and able to sleep for many months now!
