Dr. David Ian Tasker, MD

This guy needs to go to prison. He is a fraud. He told me I had cataracts which 2 different doctors have now said was completely false. He said I had no eye damage which was an absolute lie because while being treated for another issue we thought was totally unrelated it caused my sight in that eye to come back…after 6 years of living with the results of his blatant fraud. He also made bizarre comments during the exam like he went to a hiring event for border control because he treats lots of them. He said that he told them he wanted to join so he could shoot people with an ak 47. Good thing I got it all on audio recording.

The VA sent me to go see this doctor, I told him the type of problems I was having with my eyes and he told me “you need to see an eye doctor” more than once. It was a total waste of time. I was there because of side affects that resulted from a surgery while serving and told me it had nothing to do with my time in service. I was in the waiting room for a while, wondering what was taking such a long time and low and behold, the man was on his phone watching news. He said he didn’t find anything wrong with my sight and when I asked him about a problem I was having and what would cause it, he then said “oh, it’s because you need glasses”. Total waste of time.

Veterans Evaluation Services set me up with a Compensation and Pension screening with this “doctor”. We were performing a series of test and when it got to a test when it required a piercing bright light into my documented “troubled” eye, I told him it was painful and could not take a light of that caliber into my eye. He immediately discontinued the exam and told me “get out his office.” Myself, very confused I asked “Why? The examination light directly in my eye hurts.” He immediately responded “I call the shots not you!” He once again told me to get out his office and said he had “other patients to see.” I left his office feeling highly disrespected and neglected. Not only as a “Medical Doctor” he did not pose a concern the pain he caused my by flashing the light into my eye as I respectfully explained to him, he disrespectfully dismissed me as if I was telling him how to do his job. Him as being a doctor for many years really suprised me of his behavior. It was very… unprofessional and non patient focus. I’m very upset that the “Veterans Evaluation Services” allow for this man to serve Veterans. I do not recommend him based on my unfortunate very brief encounter.

He misdiagnosed problem - resolved by a second opinion. Tried to sell me eyeglasses costing $700!
