Dr. David Charles Tepper, MD

Dr tepper, I feel, has the same approach with elderly people as hospice. The fact that a person is 80 ish that lets not look for what's wrong lets just have nature run its course. Now those are not his words but that is the general idea. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I do think that some tests are unnecessary and put too much stress on the patient when there can be no realistic resolution. But sometimes a simple test can tell us if medicine should be increased after years of the same meds. I'm not a doctor but these are my feelings. After watching my dad pass quietly with hospice care and being told we believe in life and death with no medical intervention such as feeding tubes etc yes in that case prolonging his life with something like that may have only made a difference of a week or so. And it's not in the best interest of the passing individual. The staff is wonderful he is a nice man if you are younger I feel he would be the dr to see you through

Although Dr Tepper's bedside manner was lovely - warm and seemingly caring- his diagnosis was completely wrong and if we listened to him my Mother would be dead ! He even expressly advised us against seeking a second opinion since it would just be a waste of time and money ! Bottom line - my mother's health problems were easily fixed and - even more shocking - were easily revealed via a simple blood test which Dr Tepper never bothered to do. It's scary how a doctor can smile , express the utmost confidence in his diagnosis, make you feel comfortable but at the same time be literally, dead wrong. This sort of seemingly competent doctor is far more dangerous than one who clearly doesn't know what he is doing. Of course, whenever any Doctor advises AGAINST getting a second opinion, that's a big warning sign.

Very thorough, takes the time needed, and he listens. A total professional with compassion.
