Dr. David Blake Touchstone, MD

I had the very worst experience with this doctor. My primary neurologist prescribed me a medication, and had advised me to go to the Arlington Memorial ER because of possible life threatening adverse reactions I was experiencing. I was having trouble speaking, chest pains, head ache, and loss of vision. I have never had trouble speaking, and I was stuttering for words; I do not wear glasses, and had trouble with my vision; I never had chest pains until I started taking the prescribed medication. I brought the prescription information from the pharmacy with me, amongst other documents. They clearly stated to get help right away if there was (1) change in eye sight (2) tightness in chest (3) trouble with speech, amongst other life threatening reactions. I tried to explain this to Dr. Touchstone, and he did not listen to me. I gave him the same information repeatedly. A nurse in the room had to advocate for me because I was stuttering so bad. He listened to her. But instead of trying to… help me with the adverse reaction to medication, he had the nurses test me for a stroke. He then tried to push headache pain medication on me. I was not at the hospital because I had a headache, and never upon anytime asked for help with my condition of trigeminal neuralgia. I was seeking help for the adverse reaction to medication I was having. Upon receiving my discharge papers from the hospital, he then advised me to continue taking the same medication that sent me to the ER and did nothing to treat the adverse reactions I was having. As soon as he said that, I asked him if he was serious. That this medication sent me to the hospital. He then proceeded to scurry out of my room, and did not answer my questions. Upon, calling my regular provider the next day, I was informed to IMMEDIATELY stop taking the medication. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR! HE is going to hurt someone. He does not listen to patient complaints,and did not help me with the adverse reaction to medication I was having.
