I have great confidence in Dr. Townsend - when someone else wanted to go ahead with back surgery - he referred me to a PT who worked wonders and haven't had any sciatic pain for 2 years! He listens and pays attention. Office is prompt on responding.

After seeing Dr. Townsend for over a year, trying to get some major medical issues resolved, it became clear that he had no concern to actually find out what was wrong with me. Every test, specialist, etc. had to be driven by me, not him. He never suggested anything to try to resolve the issue, except order the same labs multiple times. At the last two visits his attitude was horrible, like I was bothering him. I finally figured out what was wrong myself, and two other doctors confirmed the diagnosis. I promptly switched care to a physician who doesn't act put out by patients with difficult diagnoses. He did the barest due diligence. I strongly feel that my illness would have been diagnosed much more quickly if I had seen another physician who was more aggressive with patient care. I guess now I know why the waiting room was always empty.
