Dr. David Tyler Vroman, MD

Have been a patient for a number of years and this review is concerning office visits. After many visits over the years I give up. Despite having an appointment you cannot get in and out of that office in less than two hours. Feel free to contact other patients and you will hear the same results. If you have plenty of time to hang out - you're in luck. You will wait in the lobby for 30-45 minutes every visit, then a tech will see you to run some tests and then you will wait a good bit more before ever seeing a physician. When I asked for a referral to an office that would not take 2 hours each and every visit, Dr. Vroman only gave me the following remark "Good luck" and he walked away. Such a sad attitude. I seriously doubt that he would EVER wait that long to see any type of doctor himself.

Dr. Vroman is one of the best doctors I have ever met! I initially went to him after having issues with my left eye that other doctors were unable to figure out. After making extra time to see me the same day, I ended up having a rare fungal infection that Dr. Vroman ended up treating for 4 months. This was a very difficult time in my life and there was a lot of uncertainty about regaining my sight and muscle strength in my eye. Dr. Vroman was incredibly empathetic and conservative in his treatments. He ended up saving my eye and sight- something that no one knew was 100% possible. I am so grateful for his conscientiousness, bedside manner, compassion and intellect! He went above and beyond to call me on off hours to check-in, keep in touch with my worried family up North and ensure that we cleared out the whole infection before moving forward with additional treatment. Dr. Vroman saved not only my eye but my quality of life and this is something I will be forever grateful for.… He stays on-top of new research, takes ample time with all of his patients and is incredibly thorough. Dr. Vroman is a one-of-a-kind doctor that I would refer the entire East Coast to!

I have battled keratocnus for many years. The day I was referred to Dr. David Vroman was one of the best days of my life. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I was legally blind until completing the cross-linking and intacs. I now wear a toric lens in my left eye and a sclera lens in my right eye, giving me 20/25+1 vision. I will continue my annual visits with Dr. Vroman, no matterhow far I must travel. His brilliance and professional attitude are worth it. Thank you Dr. Vroman for giving me back my independence.

He is out for the money and not supportive of his patients Performed unnecessary surgeries, charged me extra money. Left me with permanent eye damage. Beware!!

I saw Dr. Vroman for an eye procedure to repair my vision. Since his procedure, my vision has been much worse than before he repaired it. I am now going to see other doctors to see if the damages Dr. Vroman has done to my eyes can be reversed. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time seeing this butcher.

DMEK both eyes for Fuch's Syndrome. Glad I got the top Dr. in the world.

I had an appointment last month and after a long wait in the waiting room, I spoke with Dr. Vroman about my condition. Something about him really made me uneasy He was overly friendly, giving a fake smile all the time and kept suggesting I needed to get the Toric Multi focal lens because that's that's what he would "recommend for his wife". I kept thinking that it would be a lot of out of pocket money. I went back to my referring ophthalmologist and told him to recommend someone else, which he did. I don't know what it was but I would never return Dr. Vroman's office and I do not recommend him.

This doctor schedules more patients and rushes. His staff was rude and he would not return calls. He yelled at me DURING surgery. He never bothered to explain any complications that I could have as a result of his UNNECESSARY EXCESSIVE surgeries. He only wanted cash money and I paid him about $3,000. Botched multiple surgeries!! Don't let him fool you. My sight is worse than before I met him and I regret ever stepping into his office He is charming alright, but so are most snakes.
