Dr. David Howard Watt, MD

I went to see this MD in the fall of 2018 with severe left shoulder pain where I had a previous surgery in 2013. I expressed that the pain was keeping me up. MD stated your xray is fine go to PT and Ibuprofen for pain. He also stated at that time he would do no revision surgeries or anything else. I knew something was not right in my shoulder and got a 2nd opinion from another surgeon. long story short my shoulder was septic I had to have necrotic bone tissue removed and I had to have a picc line for 7 weeks. 3 months later I needed another surgery so a new shoulder replacement could be put in after infections was cleared up. I missed 8 months of work due to this and almost was unable to return to my employer. He caused me great hardship because he CHOSE NOT TO TAKE ME SERIOUSLY and dismiss my complaints. I would not recommend anyone to this provider. If I could have given him zero starts I would have.

Dr. Watt was very thorough in his explanation of his findings. I never felt rushed at any time. I highly recommend this physician.

Good doctor and a very nice man! I found his approach to be way too conservative -- at least for me. If you are one who wants to wait 3-4 years before the words "replacement surgery" is spoken, then he might be perfect for your needs. As much as I appreciate exhausting other avenues, there comes a time when replacement is the bottom-line necessity. I've lost 4 years of healthy, energetic quality of life while wading through "talks" and non-invasive approaches (eg. gel injections, cortisone shots). I've become an angry, filled-with-pain shell of myself waiting for next actions. Shame on me for being so trusting and non-assertive. As a side note: After the gel treatments (there are 3) and I wasn't feeling any relief, I called the office. Each time I spoke to someone new. Each time I was told a totally different wait time before I'd feel relief -- IF any. Good luck trying to get in to see Dr. Watt to pursue next treatments if his nurse doesn't think it's time for you to do it. She is… so nice and then so off-putting. Very frustrating.
