Dr. David Weiner, Assistant Professor of Urology, has joined the Department of Urology as a full time faculty member starting November 3rd, 2014. Dr. Weiner is a board certified Urologist who received his medical degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School in 1994. He completed his residency in Surgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in 1996, followed by his residency in Urology at Columbia University Medical Center completed in 2000. Dr. Weiner has authored numerous articles and abstracts. He has also received several awards since 2000 including several Castle Connolly Top Doctors awards, a Gold DOC award from the Arnold P. Gold Foundation and in 2014, he was chosen by New York Magazine as one of New York's best Urologists. Dr. Weiner has 20 years of clinical Urology experience and will enhance the departments general urology/ambulatory urology division. His primary areas of interest include kidney stones, benign prostatic …enlargement (BPH) and urinary symptoms.

Dr. Weiner came heavily recommended by a friend. He was very detailed in his approach and even spent weekend time answering my questions. He guided my journey through a variety of tests and imaging, all of which he took a look on the day of the results. He also dispelled a lot of the misrepresentations that I read online. I felt in good hands and much calmer through an otherwise anxiety-inducing process. I will be going to his office for annual checkups and followups.

Dr Weiner is one of the nicest and caring Doctors we have met. He gives you the time you need and answers all your questions. I highly recommend him without thinking twice. I have recommended him many times already and will in the future. Great Doctor knows what he is doing and cares about the patient..What else do I need.

Dr. Weiner is the first urologist I ever met. He impressed me greatly by taking effort and time to fully know and understand my complete medical history. He is efficient, honest and candid, and not at all self-serving. His communication skills are the best I have encountered among medical professionals. By the way, Dr. Weiner is now affiliated with Columbia Doctors and NY Presbyterian at Columbia in NYC; he is no longer a part of St. Lukeâ??s.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Weiner, and I really felt very well cared for. He spent a good amount of time to obtain my history and understand my medical concerns. He explained the possible causes of my symptoms, and thoroughly discussed the options for additional testing to determine which would be most appropriate without being excessive, and made sure that all my questions were answered. I felt very confident with Dr. Weiner, and certainly would highly recommend him for patients seeking a Urologist.

Dr. Wiener is one of the best physicians I have ever encountered. He excels in clarity of explaining his in-depth assessment of the medical data. To describe him as thorough is an understatement.
