Dr. Kimberly L Cooper, MD

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Cooper. She has the worst bedside manner. Not only was she completely unempathetic to my pain, but she didn’t even take the time to properly examine me. Instead, she just typed on her laptop and handed me a bunch of eurolla brand cranberry pills. When I told her I was in a lot of pain, her response was that I would have to wait for the urine culture results. Rather than doing a quick urine test to check for signs of a UTI, she made me suffer while I waited almost a week with no results. The results never came back because of some error on her part, and she never called to inform me or follow up. It feels like she’s more interested in promoting her eurolla cranberry pills than actually caring for her patients. Cold, uncaring, and unprofessional. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Cooper for almost five years. She is very thorough and to the point. I trust her judgement and expertise, however, she does talk very fast and I don't always understand. I have to speak up more.

I saw Dr Cooper about a year ago with complaint of urinary leakage. She barely looked at me but engaged with computer. She suggested some tests including uro dynamics which she did . Her technical assistant had trouble setting up test.. Dr Cooper was present during testing but kept talking socially to a very young girl about 16 years old. It was not an intern but appeared a relative totally disinterested. The whole process was very unprofessional & disrespectful to patient. After all tests were completed her comment was " this is bizarre" with no diagnosis. Needless to say I never returned because it seemed she was done .. Dr Cooper may be an academic & researcher but she gives Columbia a very negative image. I go to Columbia eye institute where drs are professional & caring. Dr Cooper is bad Dr.. Don't bother seeing her. Also her attachment to computer is outrageous. I
