Dr. David Barton Young, DO

Dr Young is friendly and kind, but you are definitely just another brick ?? in the wall (Pink Floyd). I saw him in November because I had so much pain in my lower left side I thought maybe I’m pregnant or miscarrying. It was awful. Dr. Young’s response was - “your pregnancy test came back negative” and basically and idk ??. Then I lived with the pain till July I was so nauseous daily I could barely function and went to the ER to find out it was a HUGE ovarian cyst growing on my right side. I immediately scheduled with Dr Young for surgery to get it taken out which he said he’d have to remove my ovary too ??. In that appointment I just asked him to take a picture of the cyst because I wanted to see how big it was. He said softball ?? size and that he’d have to do a small c section to get it out because he couldn’t drain the liquid inside of it. Day before surgery Dr Young changed surgical centers so I had to pay out of pocket for this surgery. When he saw me before surgery i reminded… him that I wanted a picture of the cyst. Went to his office to hear the lab results of the cyst being cancerous or not and waited 2 HOURS! For the receptionist to tell me he left the office. I had to reschedule. Waited another hour to see him for him to tell me he forgot to take a picture of the cyst. This may not seem like a big deal to you- but if you want a doctor who is going to hear you, think of solutions for you, give you suggestions/options. Choose someone else. I was left with over half a year of pain because Dr Young ignored my plea for help figuring out the pain, a huge bill from out of pocket surgery, and hours of waiting for him to not even be in the office.

I came to Dr. Young for a Hysterectomy. Due to complications in my Uterus. The surgery went well. Dr. Young and his team did a great job, they were all very caring and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a excellent OBGYN.

I first went to Dr. Young in 2012 for prenatal care. It was my first pregnancy, my husband was deployed and I had high blood pressure. It was a stressful time in my life and I had plenty to be worried about but Dr. Young always put me at ease without dismissing my concerns. He always remembered exactly who I was and my situation and he cared about how I was doing emotionally as well as physically. He made me feel important and always took the time to answer my questions. I wound up needing to be induced and delivering on a day when he wasn't on call but he came anyway. The delivery went great and he called me after I was discharged to see how we were doing. I used him again for my second pregnancy, again while my husband was deployed, and had the same amazing care. I can't say enough about how kind he is!

I’ve been to more than 10 OB/gynecologists and, with 8 kids, too many family practice drs to count. Dr.Young is hands down the best dr. I’ve ever encountered. He listens to and considers my concerns. He treats me with kindness and respect. He is honest and explains treatment options, so an informed decision can be made. He has delivered 4 of my grandchildren so far. I don’t trust easily, but I trust Dr.Young completely.

Horrible experience. He is a nice person, but not a good doctor. Always seemed to be in a hurry and did not take time to educate me on a very serious condition a had while pregnant. I will never go to him again.

Dr. Young is compassionate , thorough, and an amazing surgeon. So glad he is my physician.

I love Dr. Young! He delivered one of my grandbabies and when most doctors would have done a c-section, he was patient and vaginally delivered a healthy baby! He did my hysterectomy as well as A&P repairs. He came back to the hospital in the afternoon to see me before discharge even though he had already seen me that morning! He knows his stuff, cares about his patients, and is a nice friendly guy. You won't find a better OB/GNY!

Dr. Young is the best ob/gyn I have seen. I was sad when he left Michigan to go back to Utah. I had a difficult pregnancy with my son and Dr. Young was wonderful with the care he'd given us. I'll forever be grateful this man passed though my life. Best wishes to him!
