Dr. David Donald Zabel, MD

I will tell a story here, but up front: A real doctor who cares I am from out of state (FL) and had a lipoma that I was discussing with a Florida surgeon to remove. I was in Delaware and the lipoma got inflamed and created immense levels of pain (think kidney stone or a pain level of 8 on a 10 scale). I am military retired and tried to fight though my insurance (Tricare - well, Try-to-care) to find anyone who could see me as immediate as possible before my 1000 mile drive home. I had a hard time calling though, but left a webform contact message. Showed up the next morning in the hopes Dr Zabel could stop the suffering His staff was incredible, they fit me in, Doctor looked at me and said "yeah, can take it out now" and that is what he did. It was amazing to go see a doctor and they actually care and take immediate action. I felt very lucky because in the medical field/area - I think the scheduling and pushing back is the common experience As to the procedure; Dr Zabel cut… and stitched and the stitch line is built in a way that I don't think scaring will be a big concern. I have had other surgeries where scaring was a concern. Doc Z is a plastic surgeon and I am pretty sure is very skilled in stitching to as to reduce scaring. I hope I never need to go back in an urgent fashion, but Doctors like Dr. Zabel, rare experience. Like he actually does this to help the patient and care for the results. Weird, Right?

VERY fair pricing for breast implants! My experience with the staff has been super friendly and I felt as if I was treated like family. Two years ago Dr Zabel did my breast implant revision after one of my old implants ruptured (it turned out the implants were recalled, which his staff handled). He also made a suggestion about implant placement to look better, which I’m very satisfied for following. During surgery I ended up needing a capsulectomy on the other breast (more work for him). He promised me that in the end I WILL have a matching set and he was right! They’re lined up, and look natural. Now my stage tips have easily doubled and business is better than ever! Thank you!

I went in for a consultation for reconstructive surgery. And Dr. Zable told me I needed proof of the accident that occurred for me to need surgery after I provided the information, Dr.Zable still denied me care.I’ve never been one to ever pull the race card, but the time of the office the energy was off not only did I wait an hour for care but I felt Gaslit the provider. He honestly took no time to listen to what I had to say and my appointment felt very rushed. 0/10 would not recommend.

Dr. Zabel is a remarkable doctor. He was extremely thorough in explaining my husbands procedure and what to expect throughout the process. He spent a lot of time with us answering all of our questions. He office staff is very kind and friendly as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Zabel and his office staff

I am PHYSICIAN myself. I went with a friend for her follow up visit. It was embarrassing and shameful to see what a poor care physicians give to layman and non medical person. Dr. Zabel did not spend more than 30 seconds with my friend; did not address her concerns. I SWEAR TO GOD, people who have left good reviews must be because thise patients never experienced good care. He was not thorough at all. He was very vague in his instructions. I never told him about my profession but being a physician, I feel he gives very poor care as a surgeon. I would not never refer any of my patients or family members to him but may be he does not need that, because there are so many people Who are willing to settle Down down below level care.

He is very caring and thorough. His office staff is very kind and friendly. I am always telling people to go see him. Excellent Doctor.

Had a very good experience with this doctor and his staff, at this office. Always prompt & very thorough. Had major surgery and great results. Follow up care was also wonderful. I definitely recommend.

After having hernia surgery and other care he got me up and going in a short period of time and extended his services by physical therapy.I was quite a complicated individual because I haven't a spleen.
