Dr. David Marc Zimmer, MD

This doctor destroyed my life by misdiagnosing me as Bi-Polar, and putting me on high doses of Lithium without monitoring my blood serum levels. The high amounts of this drug toxicity caused me to go blind, lose control of my motor functions, become cognitively impaired to the point of non-functional and after 3 years of toxicity, literally caused my death when I was found unconscious and arrived DOA at an emergency room. Once revived, I had to begin years of agony putting my life back together, face permanent health issues caused by the degree of and extended duration of this poison in my body. I now suffer from kidney disease, nueroloical deficits, loss of short term memory and executive functions, etc. ALL because of Dr. Zimmer's EXTREME NEGLIGENCE for 3 straight years. He cost me my business, my home, my friends, my health, my retirement (lost it all due to inability to work/constant medical bills), my ability to trust, my ability to think clearly, and my needs for justice and… validation of the nightmares I faced for 3 years as a direct result of his incompetance. I couldn't sue him or get the Board of Medicine to discipline him despite abundant evidence following an intense 6-month investigation. I have become a different person because of his actions. He stole my ability to trust, to feel healthy, to have a positive attitude, to have financial security, to have confidence in my cognitive abilities, and to live without anger and rage. He faced zero consequences for his illegal, unethical behavior, yet I have had adverse life altering consequences every day for the past 10 years. He literally watched me die in front of him without taking any action to stop it. Does this sound like a caring, wonderful doctor to you?

I’ve been seeing Dr. Zimmer for twelve years now. Because of him I went from a suicidal mess to a small business owning mostly-functioning (I do suffer from five which he keeps in mind) human being. Which I never thought was possible. Before he was a psychiatrist he was an internist, so he really knows his medications and interactions. He’s never pushed pills on me, and in fact believes in quality not quantity like some other docs I’ve been to. He also tries to get me to exercise and eat better. He’s a kind-hearted man and has a very calming effect. I can’t imagine what I’d be or where I’d be without him. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist he is the one.

Dr. Zimmer is the ultimate professional and exceptional in his knowledge pertaining to psychotropic drugs.He is also skilled in developing an individualized plan for each patient according to their diagnostic needs and is on the cutting edge of the latest pharmaceutical medications due to the conferences that he attends on his own time educating him in the newest psychiatric breakthroughs.Dr. Zimmer also has a wonderful bedside manner which is difficult to find in his field.I am bipolar and had retained at least eight former psychiatrists that were unable to help me until I found him.I found stability through his care, and he literally saved my life.I would give him ten stars if possible.

Great diagnoses ability. Knowledge on Psychiatry is only bolstered by his knowledge as a practical doctor as well. After visiting 4 others prior....found a home with Dr. Zimmer

Dr. Zimmer listened and responded to my issues. He was non- judgmental and quick to reassure me. He asked excellent questions and explained all my options with me. He never made me feel rushed or anxious. I feel very fortunate to have been treated by him. Very highly recommended.

Dr. Zimmer is wonderful. He listens to you, and based on what you say, makes a good decision as to what is best for you. I always feel heard and treated in a way that I agree with. I like that. He gives you the control to help decide what you need based on what you tell him. I would recommend him for anyone. Worth every cent.

He is very thoughtful and takes the time to listen and evaluate your problems. One would think all psychiatrists would be like this, but yhat's not the case. I recommend Dr Zimmer very strongly.
