Dr. David Allen Zylberger, MD

My aunt had pancreatic cancer , she was given less than one month, this doctor operated on her, he placed a device that released a medication that she knew it did not work on my aunt. My aunt's hospice personnel drove her to Dr. Zylberger's office, 3 hours later, my aunt called me asking me to please pick her up because the doctor , after three hours of her sitting in the waiting room on a wheelchair (extremely fragile looking), she was not seen. The doctor and his front staff knew that my aunt was given less than a month by then time she was asked to come to the office, she only went for a "check up" visit for her device. After I went to pick her up , I asked his front desk staff why she was not seen if she was brought in a stretcher and her condition was so severe? She was completely hunched over on her chair. His staff only said that she was brought in later than her appointment time and she needed to wait to be squeezed in, I asked them why would anyone not prioritize a patient… that was literally DYING in their waiting room. A patient that was given one month to live. My aunt died 25 days later. Her device NEVER helped her because the only medicine that was able to free her from pain was Fentanyl and Methadone which he did not prescribed , but Dr. Sabna. My aunt always regretted allowing the surgery for that device. The only reason I am writing the review now , is because from all the memories I have of her process before her death , the episode at his office was the MOST INHUMANE and the one memory I can't seem to shake off my head. After the complaint I made that day and the request to talk to the doctor, he showed up in the waiting room and only told me that he did not know she had less than a month , he checked the device in the waiting room (less than 2 mins) my aunt did not want to talk to him due to how bad she felt, she also said she requested water and she was denied. HORRIBLE DOCTOR and HORRIBLE ATTENTION in my opinion. Whatever excuse they can come up with ,NOTHING excuses seeing someone that looked like a greenish skeleton on a wheelchair , and letting her wait for 3 hours in a waiting room. As her doctor he should of known the stage she was in. The lack of compassion from his staff makes me SICK till today. this happened about 5 moths ago.

Dr zelberger relieved my leg and thigh pain with one injection I had been dealing with this pain for almost 7 years from my herniated disc hopefully in a few weeks I go for nerve blocking hoping that the same thing occurs from my nerve block relief for my herniated disc he did a great job with my pain relief in my legs thank you Dr Zylberger!

Doc performs teen the most complicated procedures and injections with an expertise surpassed by none. His concern for his patients and his communication skills are genuine and excel. Dr. Z deserves to be listed amongst the tri-states best physicians.

I followed Dr Z to NJ when he moved from Cornell! I love him that much!

I have been taking medication for a few years. While this helped, it just wasn't enough, plus I didn't like the way it made me feel. Dr. Z offered me SCS. Seemed strange at first, but it has really helped so far! Thanks Dr!

Dr. Zylberger is, without a doubt in my mind, the BEST doctor I have ever gone to. I followed him from NYU to Weill Cornell, and if he moves out-of-state, I'll follow him there as well. Dr. Zyberger kept me from having to be moved to an 'assisted-living' facility, and keeps me from being confined to a wheelchair. He knows everything about my disability, and the best ways to treat it. His knowledge regarding the latest medications available, keeps me from the torturous and never-ending pain PNLY experienced within Dante's circles. I have already, and will continue to recommend Dr. Zylberger to everyone who needs the BEST Pain Management specialist in New York (and the entire country).
