Dr. Dawn Ruth Goldstein, MD

Really like Dr. G. Polite, courteous, timely and knowledgeable about possible new treatments being approved and current trends in her field. Her office staff are excellent professionals as well, which is refreshing!

Worst experience I ever had with a doctor. She clearly does not care about her patients and is a phony. Terrible bedside manner with my husband, cancelled on me almost 20 times through my pregnancy, should have treated me as a GD patient as per my new Gyno, found reasons to have me induced when it was unnecessary as per my new gyno, induced me on a holiday weekend when she was going away and promised to see me before she left at hospital and never did. I wound up having a fourth degree laceration with forceps delivery. I had to call a week later for her to check me when the appointment should have been made following the delivery. No referral to a physiotherapist either for pelvic floor issues. This woman is clearly in it for the money and I am writing this to advocate for women. Do not see this doctor. The hospital she is affiliated with is awful too.

The staff she has is nasty especially her office manager Tara and her front desk desiree. I miss Nancy she was nice helpful and took her time to make sure that I had everything I needed. Has a heart of gold.

Her office staff has always been great with me, and wait times in her office have not been a problem. But Dr. Goldstein doesn't seem to have time for me. She's in and out for the pap and that's it. Pleasant, but rushed. I only go there once a year - you'd think I could get a few minutes. And appointments have been cancelled at the last minute NUMEROUS times, after I've requested the time off of work. I realize things like baby deliveries or illness come up, but this just isn't working.

I searched for a long time time for a doctor like Dawn. She cares about her patients, doesn't have long wait times, has a clean office, friendly staff and takes the time to answer any and all questions in a caring, understanding way.

3 things: (1) I started going because of irregular periods. With no questions asked she puts me on b/c. 2 years later I'm losing my hair, bad acne, and irregular still so she says to switch pills. Well I did my research & said I think I have PCOS I want the test, guess what I have PCOS. Goldstein: the pill isn't the answer to everything, listen to your patients and give them the time of day (2) I got lots of yeast infections and they would make me wait 2 WEEKS for a culture and I would suffer that long to get treated. This happened all the time. (3) I had symptoms (itch, pain, odor, bumps) she gave me 30 seconds to swab and then she left. As the door was shutting in my face I said wait I think I have an std and she just said ok. Didn't even ask 1 question. The symptoms became unlivable and I was always crying from pain. I called the office crying saying it's an emergency I really need to be seen and they WOULDN'T take me. Then Goldstein wasn't in for DAYS. I had to go to the… ER and was IMMEDIATELY diagnosed with herpes from visual signs. The ER so kindly and quickly treated my 1st OB. If goldstein and her office weren't such horrible, neglectful, and rude people I could've gotten my diagnosis much sooner and could have received treatment much sooner to eliminate the pain and suffering I was in. Even though what has happened to me is not goldstein's fault, for all 3 occasions she has mistreated, ignored me, neglected me, and let me suffer.

Went to see Dr Goldstein for the first time,She was rushing me and wouldnt listen to what i had to say,I wented to know about differnent birth control.She said that the loloesterin will help me and with the discount card it will be cheap.That was not true it cost me $70.00 per pack and i was having my period every two week .I called to found out why this was happening,didnt call me till 3 days after i left the message.So i left to see a differnt ob Insurance: Blue Cross / Blue Shield

I've been to this office a couple times and making an appointment is not all that convenient. Whenever I've called I've never been able to get an appointment earlier than 3 or 4 weeks from the date I was calling. The wait time in the office has never been bad, but the doctor has cancelled on 2 of my 3 annual exams in the past 3 years. I am finally fed up because I have a job and am going to school and it is not as easy for me to reschedule an appointment now as it was 2 years ago, when I did not have a job an had a lot more free time. I went to the office for my appointment yesterday and was told that the doctor had called out. I was told that the office staff called my house, and because I was at work, called my cell phone sometime during the day; however, I had no missed call on my cell phone and no voicemail when I left work early to get to my appointment. So, I wasted my time off to leave work early, and am not able to come in on the one day that they have later hours. This was a… huge inconvenience and this was not the first time this has happened. I will be looking for another doctor.

I recently moved back to the area and my former OB/GYN is not on my new insurance plan. I selected Dr. Goldstein from the list of available dr.'s on my plan and was very happy with the initial visit. While it was primarily just my annual exam, Dr. Goldstein answered all of my questions and gave me important information on medication that I have been on for many years and was not aware of.If my experiences with follow up change my ratings, I will re-post at that time.

At first I liked treating with Dr. Goldstein, however, I found the support staff to be so intolerably rude, unprofessional, and unable to attend to the needs of a patient that I was left with no choice other than to seek care with another provider. Additionally, it was unbearably difficult to schedule an appointment, convoluted by the bad-mannered nature of the staff, and then on several occasions, appointments were cancelled last minute with no warning phone calls. The breaking point for me was when a refill for my prescribed birth control was denied because she wished to make an appointment, although I was previously seen 3 few months prior. Further, I was never contacted to be made aware that another appointment was necessary to obtain this minor refill. This should have been a priority of the staff, seeing the short time frame, to resolve, what was at that time, a very miniscule technicality. This is an example of selfish discretion to enable billing to the insurance carrier so she… can make more money. Whether this was a decision made by her or her office staff, I found this situation, like many others, to be highly uncalled for, ill- natured, and not in the best medical interests for her patient. I pulled my file and never looked back.
