Dr. Laporte was professional and friendly. I'm very early in my recovery, but she called me just days after to see how I was doing and referred me for therapy for a problem that arose. This is helping very much. She seems kind and caring.

My experience with Dr. Laporte and the staff at both the Greenspring location and JHOC was excellent!! From check in to check out and in between was perfect!! I can't thank Dr. Laporte enough for all of the help and relief that she has given me over the last 20 months and counting!! I would and have highly recommended her to any and everybody that has had or have issues with their hands and wrists!! She is the BEST of the best and BETTER than the rest!! BEST orthopedic(hand/wrist) surgeon in the world!! Dr. LaPorte is very patient, personal, professional, warm, kind, gentle, knowledgeable doctor. She has shown and provided me with nothing but exemplary service with each appt from our first appt to my surgery for DeQuervian release to post opp to every follow up appt I had last year. And I am back seeing her this month for another hand issue and I made sure to tell her just how thankful I am for her and her skill set and expertise!!

Dr. LaPorte is an excellent physician with a very caring and compassionate personality. She explains her plan of care and presents information that is easy to understand. She listens intently to any concern and gives prompt answers. She is always very patient, kind and respectful. She has been my orthopaedic doctor/hand surgeon for 15 years. She has performed 3 hand operations on me with excellent results. I was really impressed the day after each surgery she called to evaluate my condition. Over the years, I have driven 4 to 6 hours to receive her care. She is very committed to her profession. I would highly recommend her care!

I live in Northern Virginia about 85 miles, or 1 1/2 hours from Dr. LaPortes office but feel the commute is well wroth the trip. The biggest negative, I have had, is communications with the office. You should expect a lot of telephone-tag. Once you get into the office (at Union Memorial Hospital) you will find a well organized and professional staff. Dr. LaPorte listens to what you say, does a through examination and diagnosis. When there are multiple approaches to your problem she recommends the most conservative treatment first before going on the more aggressive treatments
