Dr. Dawson Lim, MD

Dr Lim has been treating my brother for the past year. A year ago I would not have believed my brother would be here today. He has gained 40# & is feeling GREAT!! I highly recommend Dr. Lim to any & all in need of cancer treatments!

He gets a minus 10 for caring for the patient's comfort and questions. This doctor did not give me day before pre-meds or post meds for my first chemo treatment. I learned later that this practice is unheard of.of chemo and radiation. He gave me nothing to combat the side effects. He also would not answer my questions about going on maintenance. After being deathly sick for 3 months, I got the opinion of 3 other oncologists who were astonished at the type of care or lack of care from this doctor. Thankfully I was able to get another doctor. He also took telephone calls when I was in the office during my appointment time.

During my first visit with Dr. Lim, while he was explaining lung cancer to me (which I have) he received 2 cell phone calls and left the room. The first time was for 4 minutes, the 2nd was for 6 minutes. I could not believe the rudeness of the man. My thoughts are if the person calling was a patient, they should have called his office, if it was personal, shame on him. Either way, I was the one paying during that initial visit and I highly doubt there will be a second visit. I'll find an oncologist who will at least act like I'm important to him while I'm seeing him.

My experience with Dr Lim has left me feeling comfortable with his abilities and that my health is in competent hands.The only issue I have that may even approach a criticism is his unwillingness to explore further a possible problem to my complete satisfaction. As I intend to pursue a second opinion on the matter, the issue is of very small concern.Dr Lim is an excellent and caring professional. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
