Dr. Dean Dennis Ettinger, MD

Dr Ettinger saw my son after we changed insurance companies. His scale that he used at his office was severely off on weight resulting in Dcs being call and my son being removed. When asked when his scale was last serviced and decertified, his comment was, "it's none of your business", at which time he stated, "my scale recalibrate a itself after every use". If I was reading this I would stay away from his office, he has been well known to have children removed from their families, I wish I would have known this before choosing him as my sons doctor.

Awesome Doctor!

I kept going back to this office hoping for improvement in many areas. It seems this day in age that it's a race to see how quick the doctors and get you in and out the door with a diagnosis. They don't seem to care to look at the whole picture of a child. Seems these doctors here aren't much different. If you don not provide all the symptoms they won't ask for any.The nurses or medical assistants can't give you any advice what so ever so don't try asking them. It seems rediculous that you can't make an appointment for wellness exams more than a month in advance. Try a new computer program!!!! The pediatric office is used in Texas could plan them over a year in advance. And don't bother calling for any advice about a situation you may be having with a child during their office hours..They will call you at 5:30pm and then most likely give you nothing to little advice and tell you to make an appointment .....regardless if you were already there that week. My advice, find a… different doctor's office to go to. Go to Tucson if you have to. Ettinger was great during the delivery of my child at the SVRH. He is very knowledgable.Ohhh and don't ask any questions regarding any other children if it isn't their appointment. Not very good patient manors apparently. After all you need to book that appointment so they can get your money. Money Money Money!!! Also they seem to always be short on vaccines. So it throws off the vaccine history. Also its frustrating that you can't make the 9mth appointment at the 6th month one or the 15 mth at the 12 mth etc. It's ridiculous. Sorry but your office management is lacking !! There are better ways to run things.
