Dr. Dean R Meisel, MD

I'm sure Dr. Miesel is a good doctor. But this is the most incompetent staff you will ever deal with. I needed Blood Work ordered by Neurologist at Duke (where medicine is done right) And they told me I needed to see the Dr. They booked me two seperate appointments 4 hrs apart the same day. Then I put my wife on to schedule my next appointment since I didn't want to go through that again. I showed up and they didn't even have me in the schedule! I've been there another time and they completely act like they didn't even know what they were doing. My wife goes in today to see the Dr. in order to have her medication refilled. Over 2 hrs later she gets out, and that is to only have her medication refilled. Good Doctor, there are too many good Doctors around town to go through this aggravation. Never again.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Meisel for 18 years. Amazing Doctor! The best around by far.

He was the beat doctor ever. I was so excite to find him. My dad is the best doctor.

Dr. Dean Meisel has been wonderful in the treatmenet & care of my mom who recently died of Alzeheimer's disease. His kindness & compassion is so appreciated and I would reccomend him as he is tenacious & determined to give you the best care possible. Five star rating in my opinion!

With only a few patients waiting, we were in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Once inside the exam room, we waited another 25 minutes for the doctor to come in. My initial opinion was good, but then as we discussed my childs medical backgroung and history, the doctor started yawning. Everytime he spoke, he yawned...I wonder if we were keeping him up or just boring. Two days after our appointment, he decided to have labs done. We had to go back and wait another 1/2 hour. I wasnt there for any type of "issue" at hand so I cant comment on his accuracy in diagnosing a problem, but after an extensive conversation, he just didnt seem very interested in what I was questioning. I will see him again and perhaps have a better feel for him and his practice...although if the wait time continues to be extensive, I will not go back. My daughter also went there and waited almost 2 hours. Just unacceptable.

Dr, Meisel was originally my children s pediatrician. I have used Dr. Dean as my primary care physician for 14 years. He has been thourough, knowledgable, consistent. He keeps up with the changes in Medicine. I have got a second opinion on two occasions of his diagnosis without telling the second Dr. Both times Dr. Dean was right on the money even with both diagnosis being out of his area of expertise. However Dr. Meisel will refer you to a specialist when needed. He is a speed reader with excellent organizational skills. I would refer anyone from newborn to senior care to Dr. Dean Meisel.
