Dr. Dean David Romanick, MD

the dr. is a fraud i was his paient and because i went to the va he said he would not see me after 7 years i have my spinal cord closing in on me and he told me i can come in any time but because of my new diagnoise he is a flip flopper he said i could not see him

He is pleasant, caring...remembers me, and takes his time with a patient...and acts like he really cares about my health.

I am a healthy, young 30 something individual who rarely needs to see the doctor. We are all human and from time to time we take a trip into the doctors to be checked out for one symptom or another. A month ago I went into Dr. Romanicks office and was not pleased by a number of things. A) When calling to make my apportionment the receptionist was short, snippy and rude. B) show up for my appointment, early, the receptionist (who sits to the left of the window) opened the window with no "hello", "may I help you", "how are you", instead, looking at me as I say I am here to see the doctor. I am told to sit and wait. C) Nurse comes out says my name from behind a door that was half way open. I wasn't sure if they were saying my name in the office or actually calling me to come in next. she made no effort to come AROUND the door, with a smile and nicely say "my name". I come with the nurse to the scale and theres no "hello" or any personal interaction. I take quick notice of her attire.… Jeans, messy shirt and um...cigarette smoke. Aren't we in a HEALTH office? She takes me into the back exam room where I sit and wait. Cold exam room, no magazines, no music and un happy with my treatment today, The doctor finally comes in, acts like he's bothered I am there, sees me for 10 min and I am on my way. I am not a person who writes reviews and complains often. I work with the public every day so I "get it". I am not in the doctors office every week, (that visit was my first in TWO years) but this visit really bothered me. I left, thinking to myself maybe something happened in the office today and they are having a "off day". Today I had to see Dr.Romanick again. I was not looking forward to my visit because of my last experience. Same thing today. I walk in to the office early and theres one person at the desk today. She peeks up to the window, sees I am there and continues to leave me standing there. Finally opens the window and can barley ask who I am or what I need. I sit and wait. Nurse comes out, or shall I say yells your name from behind a door. weighs you, takes you to the exam room where she sits and types into a computer why you are there today. There is no customer service what so ever. Doc comes in and I can say, he was having a better day today. He was talkative and showed interest as to why I was there. He sends me up to the receptionist to check out. I walk up to the window and the woman did not say "hi", "are you checking out" , she could hardly be bothered to do her job. Lets not ignore we are in the health office and both of the receptionists are severely overweight. As she checks me out she throws her pen down, my credit card down, huffs and puffs. Im sorry I am PAYING today and it requires you to get up and do something. I say thank you and start to leave the office when I hear them talking about my visit, me paying today and etc. Now what is wrong with this picture. Customer service is not their specialty. The office staff is rude, cold and short. After my two visits a month apart and in two years I am looking for another doctor. We pay up the yin yang for health insurance, medicines and should get a little customer service long with it. Like I stated before, I rarely submit reviews. The service has to be pretty bad in order for me to do so. I own and operate a business myself so I get all aspects of running a business and customer service. I am not sure what has changed in Dr. Romanicks office but it isn't for the better.

Dr. Romanick and this practice has been the PCP for my family for 4 generations. Personally I have been with the practice for 25 years. He's intelligent, kind and honest. My complaint is over the past 5 years, unless you have a horrible emergency you will be at the office minimally an hour and a half if not two hours, for an appointment that usually takes less than 10 minutes. It's become the rule not the exception to it. Do I feel his care is worth the wait... most often I feel he is on the money with his treatments / diagnosis. But it's very frustrating especially if you have a young child who is ill and you sit in a room for well over an hour.

Highly unprofessional when dealing with insurance companies and pescriptions. Very short fuse and absolutely no bedside manner.

Dr. Rominick has been my Doctor for a long time. Although I get a lot of my health care through the VA. I alway get a second opinion by Dr Romanick. I think he is a great Dr.

I was forced to find a new family practitioner after our family doctor retired and the practice was sold. The new practice wouldnt except children. A friend said to try Dr. Romanicks. I have 4 Children at the time twin babies, three year old and a thirteen year old. I made my initial visit. Dr. Romanick sat on the floor with my 3 year old to check his ears, heart etc. That got my attention. He is easy to talk to, LISTENS, he is not a doctor to just script you and out the door. I recommend this office every time I get a chance. Its been 7 years since that first visit and I am very pleased. Nothing but two thumbs up.
