Dr. Deborah Lee Blackwell, DO

Dr. Blackwell was very insensitive with myself and my three children during a sudden emergency visit at a Nationwide close to home location. The receptionist, and nurses were all wonderful and very attentive and kind to us, but our interaction with Dr. Blackwell was very harsh. Dr. Blackwell was very hurried with us and gave us misinformation concerning a test the my child needed. She also did not seem to be well with kids at all.

Dr Blackwell prescribed medication for my child and when she was contacted by me concerning the medication, she denied ever prescribing the medication. I was treated as if I was giving my child medication that I was not supposed to be giving her. When I told the office staff that I had the medication prescribed by her plus 2 other prescriptions for 2 other medications with refills on all 3 meds I was asked to bring them in to prove it. Which I did, and never even received an apology or anything from the doctor after seeing the prescriptions which she HAD given to my child. I definitely am not comfortable with a health care provider who has no record or reconciliation of what they have prescribed to my child. Medication is a pretty serious thing to take so lightly.
