Dr. Deborah Diamond Fisch, PhD

Dr Diamond Fisch is the kind of psychologist that tells you the truth. She is honest and open and allows me to be vulnerable without being judged. I more than appreciate a therapist that holds me accountable and explains things in a different viewpoint that is helping me to grow even in my 60's.

Very degrading , rude, and unprofessional!

I found her to be abrasive. I was treated as a defendant in Judge Judy's court and not as a human being going to a professional for help. I would have expected at least some degree of empathy and understanding but instead felt as though I was being accused of something (I'm not sure what). I left the session feeling defensive and with my belief that I can receive help for my concern shaken.

I totally disagree with the comments "condemning" Dr. Fisch. I have been her patient for the past year - first seeing her on a weekly and then on a bi-weekly basis - and I have found her to be a caring and non-judgmental professional. She has helped me tremendously in my dealing with stressful situations in my life and in my interactions with my adult children. I would defintely recommend her as a therapist.

I went in with an open mind and was very fragile. She was dismissive, rude, telling me I’m all over the place.... ummm yes that’s why I’m in therapy. She was so awful I evaded up crying and walking out. I felt much worse after I left. She was unhelpful and unprofessional.

I agree with the other patient. I have never had such an experience. I’ve been in therapy for many years with others. Dr. Fisch was rude, condescending. I went in very open minded... left in tears. I felt ten times worse after leaving. Was hoping for help and guidance and received anything but. Awful experience and I agree with the other review... quite damaging.

I had one session with D. Fisch (one too many). It was damaging to me. Within forty minutes, she had made an interpretation that I was projecting unresolved issues I had with my mother and x-wife onto her. She had no sense that she in any way influenced the interaction between us. I am not the type of person who goes around constantly feeling attacked by others, but I did in this particular instance. I imagine her arrogance wouldn't allow her to consider I was responding to her dismissiveness and condescension and not projecting unresolved issues onto her. Good job at protecting your feeble ego at the cost of another's well-being, Deborah!
