Dr. Deborah Speier Heaney, MD

Ignores clear and cut documentation presented to her so it is unclear how determinations are made accurately.

I saw Doctor Heaney for a Compensation and Pension Examination (much like an IME) requested by the Veterans Administration in connection with my disability claim. I suffer from asbestosis. Doctor Heaney was punctual and professional. It was immediately obvious that she had been very thorough in reviewing my medical records (about 150 pages) and was familiar with my medical history, my diagnoses and the various tests that had been performed during my treatment. Her interview was precisely focused on the aspects of my disease that were relevant - my prior work history, the cause of my disease and the extent of the disabilities caused by the disease. She was already familiar with every aspect of my disease when we met, her interview was focused and precise and her examination was efficient. One could not have expected or hoped for any more, given her role. P.S. Because she is awaiting the results of additional testing, I do not know what her opinion will be so my review is not… affected by any confirmation bias.

Dr. Heaney is extremely knowledgeable. She knows her practice, and is especially patient friendly. I am impressed every time I see her.

No problems with visit. I was well taken care of.
