Dr. Deborah Jo Jarrett, DO

Dr Jarrett spends a surprising amount of time with me at each visit. She follows up on every referral and test she orders. She reads my chart and remembers what she reads. I’m not just a patient who comes in the office, I am her patient and she takes ownership of that. I had been to another healthcare system a(Freeman) and not one of those providers refused to believe what I told them! First visit with Dr Jarrett, she understood that something was wrong. She hooked me up with the appropriate testing, appropriate referrals and had an idea what my diagnosis was. Every specialist I saw at Cox understood that something weird was going on with me. I was on treatment within a couple of months and at least able to function. She’s worth driving to see. Lamar may be a small rural facility but they found someone with huge integrity and a real desire to make sure her patient gets her best!

The nurse and the doctor were rude, it was first visit and I wanted establish a new doctor and she was not even interested in my med history,I left there feeling very frustrated, they doctor wasnt knowlegable on some med terms,she just doesnt seem thorough at all,she had a terrible bedside manner and so did her nurse, not even the slightest of smile, but the reception ladies were very friendly.
