Dr. Deborah Koricke, MD

She is not considered, not concerned about her patients or their wellbeing, she does not do her homework with clients and her reports are very “cookie cutter “… she maybe a little less expensive but the quality of her work is inferior. She runs her business like a cookie cutter factory.

In my experience, it is evident that this professional is disconnected and inconsistent with the knowledge associated with her licensure. It raises questions about whether she lacks concern or if prolonged experience has led to burnout and weariness in her career. Regardless, the demonstrated lack of empathy, professionalism, and awareness of the client and present individuals in the room when speaking merits investigation and consideration for reporting to the licensing authority under which she holds her license. Notably, her dual role within the family court system, coupled with specialization in forensic psychology for the prison system, is intriguing. The demeanor exhibited during interactions, particularly with children, tends to convey a correctional officer vibe, raising concerns about professional boundaries and ethical violations that warrant investigation. For individuals seeking her services, it is advisable never to go alone and always have a qualified witness present,… as there is a high likelihood of needing their testimony. Wishing anyone who encounters and collaborates with such an individual good luck. There is a pressing need for the establishment of laws that hold such professionals accountable for the additional harm they may cause to clients already traumatized by the system.

Koricke is always running late and never apologizes for her unprofessionalism. She addresses her patients in an unkind and brusque manner. She charges your insurance company for 1 hour but sees you for 30 mins, which is fraud. She also drags out sessions for testing that could be completed in 1 session but makes you return 2-3 times. Again, to continue to charge the insurance company for multiple visits. She is only interested in making money and not in the welfare of her patients. I recently saw her on TV and I wish someone at the station had actually read the reviews about her before putting her on TV. Her license should be suspended because of her unprofessionalism and over-billing the insurance company. Her offices in Beachwood and Fairview are not only disgusting and unclean, but the setup does not honor HIPAA laws at all by allowing all the patients to hear names and personal information upon check in. I would give her zero stars but that was not an option for this site.

We waited 2 hours (she was late as usual) for a 5 min. visit. When "Dr. Koricke finally showed up, she was not professional in her appearance and I actually said to my partner "Wow, is that the Dr.?" I would have expected more from a professional in that position. There were 5 people who had appointments scheduled at the same time and they were all complaining about Dr. Koricke, her demeanor, her tardiness, her manner of dress (sweatpants and a stained shirt) and the handling of their particular cases. Is this the best that the State of Ohio can do? The state needs to look for another Dr. to send people to. One patient told me to go online and look at the reviews. So here I am.

I had read reviews and wasn’t impressed at all. Then I went in to see DR. Koricke and it was like night and day.She was very professional and polite she went over my paperwork and diagnosed me and she made perfect sense.

Dr. Koricke is an incompetent practitioner. I would strongly advise anyone who was referred for determination of parental rights to avoid her like the plague. She does not listen to children ( who are of the age to articulate their preferences) and makes extremely poor choices and recommendations. She is unprofessional in her appearance and is extremely disorganized. My children disliked her very much. She was not an advocate for them but made their lives more difficult. They are adults now and still remember the terrible sessions with her. She was unable to identify a classic narcissist when he was sitting right in front of her. Look for another Psychologist and save yourself some misery.

Dr. Koricke is a terrible person. She's biased, cold and unfreiendly. She needs to figure out why she's so awful towards anyone that wants to do no more than protect their child. She's just want a paycheck. Do not go to her if you want to protect yourself and your kids.

This person is not very compassionate. Has gotten information incorrect on my daughters assessment plan. I would not recommend her.

Tries to be very intimidating. Talks in circles & uses your own words against you. Makes no effort to make the children feel comfortable or at ease. Bring children to appointment while there is a support group for recovering addicts (drug) in a room next to the waiting room.
