Dr. Deborah Ann Whiteside, MD

She was good, not what I was used too, didn’t seem enthusiastic and caring, but it was my first visit. I guess I was spoiled by my last OBGYN who moved his practice a few counties away. He was amazingly caring and experienced. This is not a bad review for this Doctor. Just felt like business, which she is trained to be in and she knows what she is doing. An expert. I just had better experiences with specialists with more personable skills. To me specifically, it does make a difference when you are in a very uncomfortable situation. But that’s just me. I will keep seeing her though. She is an expert.

Older patient, appreciated having doctor listen and being gentle during exam.

I had been going to Dr. Whiteside for at least 7-8 years. I thought she was just wonderful, and everything was fine at my appts. She went over things with me and answered all my questions, just great. I really had no problems, I was younger and had flew through all my examinations with great results. About 3 yrs ago I had a thyroid issue and she felt a growth and had a blood test taken right there at that appt. I subsequently had to get a thyroidectomy, I have been having issues since. All my thyroid tests turn up normal tho. So I decided I should talk it over with someone that could give me some direction. I was thinking it was hormonal ....foggy head, confusion, weight gain, lethargic, and I decided to write down all my symptoms & take it into see her. During my exam, I and explained everything, she looked unphased & kinda bothered, she never looked at my list, had no interest and actually blew me off and told me to see my PCP to get a blood test. I decided to go to a thyroid… doctor that day and requested the blood test for me and found that I have PCOS. The bad thing was in is in her field of expertise to find PCOS, and she could have taken blood there again or just simply drawn up a script for a test. I used to really think she was best, I am now looking for another. Mabe she had a bad day or has some personal things going on, and I wish the best. All these symptoms seem unbearable and I can't stand dealing with them and just near a doc w a great bedside manner and someone that actually cares.

Dr. Whiteside has been the best doctor that I have ever had. She listens to what I say and she answers every and I mean every question that I have. She never rushes and really gives her undivided attention to you. We went through a difficult time having a miscarriage. She even went to check on my husband after my surgery.
