Dr. Deborah Lynne Winiger, MD

She has been my doctor for 2 years now. Takes everything like a joke and wants to believe the best way of treatment is one way when it doesnt work she says try it again. Went in a week and a half ago for neck pain. Was told i was dropped as a patient for something my mother did. So i had to fight to get seen because I have an hmo. Was examined and given steroids and pain killers they decided it was a herniated disc in my neck. I called when I was done with steroids and said I’m still in pain. Doctor said to wait a couple days and call back. Called back no response. Emailed her and was told we can talk about physical therapy. I said no that I wanted an MRI done. Was told no that I would have to come back in for another exam to determine if I need an MRI or physical therapy. When I said no to that the officer manager called me and was extremely rude and told if I didn’t like that to go somewhere else.

Dr Winiger and her staff provide excellent care and expertise. I have been with her 20 years. She has always diagnosed me and my family and have received the best of care. The level of respect and compassion is over that top. I cannot understand the inadequate reviews...except that I have been in her waiting room and witnessed on several occasions the behavior of some of her patients that acted acted like two year olds throwing tantrums over being asked for the information that all offices require, and the the staff still handled them with respect. Kudos!

I wanted to read the reviews on Dr Winiger, because I knew that mom couldn't be the only one getting this terrible treatment. The office is extream ly rude, if you can get them to answer your call. The phone system is frustrating for myself let alone a senior. The nurse practitioner is very rude and I know the Md is aware but doesn't care. There is no follow up. You have to keep calling the lab or pharmacy to make sure dr finally called on order. When moms scripts are ready for refill she always has to go in for bloodwork or physical or something that requires an office visit. For a maintance drug. It's all about the money. I have to have conversations every month if every other because I feel as a md she should recognize mom needs the meds. She goes in for the apts where I wouldnt. It's abusive. I wonder of my mom had different Insurence, if she would have to go in all the time? Someone should report her to Medicare. My mom is afraid she will be without an md. And Dr winiger has… her afraid to go to someone else. It's terrible.

The front desk staff including the African American woman extremely rude and impossible to talk to. Changing the pcp because of them.

I have gone to Dr. Winiger for over 20 years and I highly recommend her as an MD who cares, takes the time to talk to you , know you and make you feel important. She is the real deal, a very genuine person.

First appointment, the doctor did not even show up, even is she was in the office. I was served by the nurse.

Horrible Nurse Practitioner. Condescending, disrespectful. Multiple issues refilling prescribed medication. When I called to complain, I got a bill sent to me. A bill that was barely 30 days old. Felt like it was a message advising we wont fill your prescription until your bill is paid. When I called to discuss was told then they wouldn't refill it until I got blood work, which wasn't possible for a few days. I'm diabetic, and when I challenged that they backed down, but shows the ethics of this office. They also did not advise me when I got my labs that they would be doing a urine test. It came back concerning and when I looked up info on the web it advised you shouldn't take the test when you are on your menstrual cycle, which I was. Asked for a new order and the doctor refused multiple times. When I called back to reiterate my concern the doctor showed no concern, insinuated that ***I*** was the difficult one, and basically insulted me. IF you don't have time to chase these people… to address your needs, and you expect more than average care and an office who cares about your concerns, then don't go to this doctor's office! If you are diabetic, seek a trained specialist (Endocrinologist)

Dr Winiger is an excellent Dr. She is unique in that she doesn't seem driven by her schedule but rather by what her patients need. I know she often goes above and beyond what some other Drs do these days. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Winiger and her staff are great. She is my doctor as well as my infant son's. She makes an effort to get to know your family. She will take the time to answer your questions and give guidance. Her front office staff is very nice, although sometimes a bit inefficient. That is really my only complaint. I've been very happy with the office and have been going there for years now.

Dr is very good, great, caring, and familiar with every aspect of family med. Her front desk is the only compliant at time very rude, or pushy. I almost walked out of the office on one of my appt. I'm sure I wouldnt be the first to leave this Dr, because of staff in the front office.
