Dr. Debra Martin Berry, MD

I actually use to see Dr. Roos and I really really loved him! (but he's not showing up under this practice, and this review is more about the practice than about Dr. R) Unfortunately, since he's gone to this new practice, I get bills for stuff I didn't know I'd be getting billed for (all well child visits). They were forms that were handed to me at check in that the girl said "fill these out" so I did. Later I was billed for filling out an assessment. They gave this to me two visits in a row before I knew I Was getting billed for it. When I called and asked why I was charged for it, she said "you can always decline." Had I known I could decline and that this was outside of the scope of a well child visit, I would have. When someone hands you check-in paperwork for a well child visit, I assume everything I do that visit is part of a well child visit. I've left this practice over multiple billing issues (never had a problem at Dr. Roos' old office). This was just one example, there were… other times where I've called and they say "oh, ya you shouldn't be billed for that" and take it off. Always watch what you're doing here! The doctor might be great but you'll get some surprise bills!

We were new to the area and had just had a baby with Down syndrome unbeknownst to us. We picked Dr. Berry due to our insurance and she was absolutely wonderful. I don't like going to doctors but she and her staff made it a pleasure. My son was on oxygen and had other problems due to Down syndrome. She took the time to talk with me to explain and listened to what I wanted. So helpful and kind at such a traumatic time for me. Wonderful bedside manner and accommodating in my regards to a staggered immunization schedule for my son. I was able to call her after hours. The nurses are the best too. I can't say enough about how brilliant they were. Were able to help me take care of my newborn son with all the conditions that come with Down syndrome. Very highly recommended.

she was our first pediatrician and it was ok at the beginning probably because it only involves routine checkup and vaccination. recently we had a few visits because of our child's infection and fever. when it gets real, we feel both Dr. Susan Tiegs and Debra Berry become inattentive, impatient, inconsiderate and sloppy. One time we have not finished conversation, Dr Berry was already heading to the door, probably because of their overbooked schedule. The other time, we had to go to emergence due to doctor's negligence. The staffs are seemingly friendly, but very tardy. When we requested some files from them, it took a while plus a few phone calls.
