Dr. Debra Hart Clapp, MD

Wait time to see her was all of 20 minutes from walking in the front door to filling out paperwork to the nurse taking my vitals. Dr. Clapp takes the time to personally sit with you and discuss your medical history in depth rather than count on a staff member to do so. She was well versed in a couple medical issues I have (FVL and Pituitary Tumor) that could or already do affect my GYN well-being. She offered suggestions and procedures that I either hadn't thought of or didn't know about. I was extremely impressed and most importantly, comfortable - which is touch to be when someone is messing with and talking about the health of your hoo-ha! ;) I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Clapp.

She was not my OB but delivered my child as she was the on call physician. I have seen some bad bedside manner in my day but she was the worst. My birth experience was so bad if I have another child I would leave AMA in the middle of labor and give birth in my car before I would let her touch me again. Only good thing I have to say is I had an emergent c section with her and the incision site looks amazing. The physical scar is barely visible but the emotional scars from how I was treated will last a lifetime.

I would agree with previous comments....if you do not pop babies out every year then her and her staff are not interested in you as a patient. Wait times are HORRIBLE....ALWAYS one and a half to TWO hours!! Not sure HOW some people get 15 minute wait times?? I NEVER have!! Her nurse is incompetent and will never call you back or update your chart appropriately when you request it. Trying to get them to call a prescription in for you is like pulling teeth!! I had been going there for many years as a patient but will never return because I obviously do not matter to them or qualify as a "special" patient. The office is outdated also. I actually got a quicker appointment with a new provider elsewhere who was willing to examine me and pinpoint what the health issue was that I was having.

Dr. Clapp has been my OBGYN specialist for over 20 years. She has always been caring, informative and knowledgeable, while sharing her ideas for my best care. She takes her time and listens to my concerns. Her staff is equally pleasant. Dr. Clapp is the BEST. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my OBGYN care. Thank you Dr. Clapp for all you are and all you do for your patients.

A wonderful experience with a rare Dr who still makes the time to talk and listen. All of the staff are courteous and welcoming. Very happy.

Dr. Clapp is very kind and compassionate. She never rushes your visit and is clear when explaining answers to any questions you may have!

Dr. Clapp has been my trusted physician since 1985 when we were both pregnant. She was on maternity leave for my daughter's delivery. I had to rely on another excellent physician in her group then. We have had a very long relationship as trusted doctor and patient! She is excellent! My daughter was her patient as well until she left Roanoke. Dr. Clapp is a caring, knowledgeable, professional with whom I continue to be a very satisfied patient.

Dr clapp and her staff put you at ease immediately when you enter their office. Information is shared with you and all parts of the exam show their caring.

I love this practice and Dr. Clapp. She makes you feel very comfortable and takes a genuine interest in you. Staff was very professional, pleasant and accommodating. Facility is clean and modern.

Dr. Clapp is amazing. She always allows plenty of time to chat and answer any questions. She also gives you and honest and open opinion. One time I called and left a message for the nurse and Dr. Clapp personally called me back to talk about my situation. She is great!
